Neil Bausor

Too busy working to speak to the manager, surely he would have seen a few missed calls.
It is Warnock speak for saying i don’t want to talk about it just yet. A convenient fib like when Woody said Braithwaite had a stomach bug but was really in Spain discussing a move. Things are clearly either in the balance or not good and it buys time. I would expect nothing less. People need to stop taking things literally and see the wider picture. Patience will see the mist disappear and the reality will be clearer soon enough. Every club is the same right now.

Warnock will say anything that puts the blame onto someone else, get the fans on his side, and paper over his bang average record for us.

He's yesterdays man, and the sooner he's out our club the better.
Sorry an all, but that has to be one of the most ridiculous posts i have seen on here in a long while, he is a coach not a magician. I appreciate some people think the manager is somehow responsible for recruitment, but we live in 2021 not 1973. They really are not involved in contractual arrangements nowadays.

Warnock does not negotiate deals, He has no say in agreeing contracts, that is purely down to Bausor on Gibsons behalf. Should anyone on this board think Muniz and Payero were Warnock targets rather than Gibson gifts to hopefully sell on for a profit in time then you need to think again. Football is a business as well as a sport. Fans look at recruitment through a different lens to a businessman.

Again zero cohesion between every level of the club. Scraping a few quid together to sign lower league domestic players whilst taking a 7 million gamble on an unknown South American that clearly isn’t the signing this manager will ever be able to fully utilise. All of this two months on from releasing over 20 million worth of players and cutting costs for the last 4 years.
It’s painfully obvious those at the top, Gibson included, have no idea how to run a sustainable football club, we have changed our strategy and focus pretty much every summer so it’s no surprise none of this is really working.
End result yet again is we’re about to go into another season woefully unprepared.
What a load of Baloney. I don't know any business that will tell you what is happening inside the board.

You hear rumours, they became false fact, they don't happen and the club are suddenly clueless.

These things aren’t rumours though, you just need to look at the business the clubs done over the years to realise just how disjointed the entire thing is

There is a long term pattern of things been a bit more erratic at the Boro, but that is a positive as well as a negative. I wsn't expecting any decent South Americans a month ago. Because it (disjointed/erraticness) is so long term (before Bausor) suggests to me its more Steve Gibson. The Club 100% belongs to him and he subsidises it and he strongly oversees, but it flows to his whims as well. Add in nowadays we have to be much more careful with the finances which can make life more difficult.

I can see sense in looking for young South American players. If you look at football as a whole, there is some absolutely ridiculous money being thrown around. City spending £100m on Grealish, £160m on Kane etc.
If players like Payero turn out well they are likely to be sold for more than the initial investment and we get to enjoy watching them for a while.

It never ceases to amaze me the confidence with with which people are able to comment on a person’s performance in role without having the first clue about how they do their job.

This is a great example. Bausor is no longer in South America. He travelled back all day yesterday. May have had something to do with Warnock not being able to get hold of him.

Don't think anyone is claiming he's responsible for recruitment, more he's preparing his excuses for when the team fail to qualify for the play-offs and everyone will think it's Bausor's, Gibson's, referees, Stoke's dressing room, the colour of carpets in the directors box etc fault rather than Warnock.

He'll do a few "amusing" press conferences, big up an inept racist as "good old Boris" and the fans will lap it up, and look to blame anyone but Warnock.

Those pointing the finger at Bausor will no doubt be the same as criticised Lamb for all those years.

Exactly this.

The squad is not complete by a fair way, the season hasn’t started and some are already on Warnock’s case.
Can’t we at least wait until we’ve played a few matches lads?

I'm on Warnock's case based on his time with us which has been bang average, and not a great deal better (if at all) than that Pulis.

One was the anti-christ, the other seems to walk on water and carry the entire club on his back according to some fans.

I think he’s fair game to be honest. His recent record has been very poor and yes he did well to keep us up in his first season there hasn’t been much since. I think it is fair to be critical of him. This isn’t a new manager starting his first season.

South America isn't exactly a hop skip and a jump away either, it's not like taking a 2/3 hour flight to mainland Europe to be fair.

Maybe we need someone like you to run it then

Considering we have gone from premier league football with a good squad and competent manager to almost being relegated to league one, completely skint, loosing millions on pretty much every big signing weve made and gone through 5 managers in the last few years we clearly need someone who knows what they are doing to run this club. If Gibson wasnt from the area he would have been driven out of the club by the media and fans over whats happened to us since 2016

It’s not because he’s from the area. It’s because without him, we would never have had those memories and all our kids would be supporting Newcastle, Leeds or one of the Manchester teams.

Our decline has coincided with the era of billionaire owners taking over clubs throughout all of the leagues. We simply can’t compete on the level we used to. It’s about time some of our fans understood that.
