Makes it look easy, but he was slightly boxed in then his years of experience did the rest. Jalabert thought Morkov eased to let him win but so what if he did.

He said in his french interview that you can't compare him to Merckx who is the greatest of all time. The wins are just numbers for people who haven't followed cycling for long. A bit clumsy, but he's exhausted - his heart is in the right place.

After Cav’s glorious record equalling day in Carcassonne latest table. New leader Harringtons who has opened up a bit of a gap with BL and Eddie Nicho following. We are heading now for a few lumpier stages so all to play for.

Simon Yates was forced to abandon after a crash yesterday. It remains to be seen whether he can recover in time for the Road Race in Tokyo which runs in two weeks. Saturday 24th July.
I see they've adjusted the scores now and given Politt his correct value. I'm looking for a big week from Carapaz and a sneaky win from Paret Peintre to put me on top of the heap come Paris,
Into the Pyrenees we go for the key stages of the tour. Pogacar looks invincible but it's never over until Paris. There'll be some shaking up of our league table too no doubt.

Cav has propelled me to the top. But I don't have Pog (I went for Rog) so I doubt I'll be there at the end.

You won’t get his 500 win points (should he win it) but you’ll get potentially 500 if Cav wins the remaining two flat stages so all is looking good for you.
Finally hit the top spot. Hopefully no disaster between now and Paris. Pogacar just looks ridiculous.

Why did I pick Reto Hollenstein as a 4 pointer? 2 points so far, done nowt, happy just to get around. Bit of a holiday for him!
that said, into the top 10 for the first time now.
Indeed a brave pick as he was always on domestique duty for Woods and Dan Martin. And as Froome wasnt doing much he had to do a lot more.BL takes the lead as jhe announced above. Ive taken 2nd place. analysis of the teams and whilst I have Pogacar my thin hopes of overhauling BL is to hope Pog doesn’t win the TT and my three TT specialists perform.

Today helped the cause of team Celebre, but I have done my own maths @Abel Tasman and, if your team of TT specialists do the business, it is going to be very tight indeed come the final tally up. For my part, I need Pojacar to win the TT and for Politt/Alaphilippe to pull their fingers out.

I'll need Wout VA for the TT. And Bissegger maybe. Then obviously Cav for Paris. De Gendt doing nothing has been the downfall of my team.

Bissigger crashed a few days ago so I suspect he will not be up there sadly for me. I’ve had a fairly consistent team with my lowest being Bissegger on 133. Haig crashing early on after a great start and looking on great form has done me in. Cav was the pick I missed out on. He is the key pick this year.
