Ive got Pogacar and im still second bottom. Saying that ive got Tao Geoghegan Hart on 6 points and Boassen Hagan on zero.I went for MvP despite knowing he would pull out. I just had the feeling he was going to go big at least once.
I've also got my first points from Cosnefouy courtesy of O'Connor winning the stage
If you don't have Pog then you are knackered.
Cav wins again. The rest day might have come at a good time for Cav after 2 very hard stages.
Like Sagan, he'll have to manage those days in the mountains timewise, but I think he can make it to Paris which will mean he's in contention.
That's why I tend to stick to Sagan in the Tour as he might not be as fast as others, but he can survive the big climbs.
Overall, I see the winner having Pog and the best of those who take the opportunity for stage wins rather than those that just hang in on GC with little chance of making the podium. It could be exciting watching the battle for stage wins.
The record is definitely on, DQ are smashing the leadout.Cav wins again.
Is it 4 or 5 more chances this tour? The record is definitely on, DQ are smashing the leadout.
Tomorrow at 4.15pm.Cav home safely. When do we start talking about the record?
I appreciate that view although my romantic leaning towards Mercx is tempered by the fact that he tested positive at least 4 times... He got kicked out of a Giro d'Italia (while leading for 16 stages in '69), after winning Lombardia in '73, at Fleche Wallone in '75, then in '77 for amphetamines.Personally I'd rather he just equal it. As much as I love Cav, Merckx was such an exceptional athlete, and I'm old enough to have been around in his prime that I'd like his name to be still up there.
