Back to the selfish argument Andy. Nobody goes to the pub to oil the wheels off British commerce. They go because they want to and the health implications in a pandemic be dammed. Don't try and pretend it's for any other reason.
Right I'll try again, and I'll word it simpler:
There's a massive social benefit from pubs which is why people go, and as a result of this, the economy gains as a by-product. Most don't think about the latter, but you can't deny it's not there. People can choose whether to use these places at increased risk (with no masks), nobody seems to have a problem with this.
There's next to no social impact from wearing a mask on public transport and zero economic loss also, not many seem to have a problem with this, other than yourself of course, who has no argument for not doing it.
People cannot choose whether to take this increased risk (with no masks), they get forced to take the risk.
