Tory`s win Hartlepool by 6940 votes.

This is the tories/ Brexit voters peak in my eyes (to their voters anyway), or maybe summer, after that they're heading down the mountain, and will gain momentum.

The only way this won't happen is if brexit is a success or we have economic gains etc, I would welcome those but they're unlikely.
I’ve posted before that Johnson has shut down the country to protect 20 million elderly voters and put 10 million on paid holiday.

If he didn’t win after that then that would have been the bigger shock.

The wealth gap only widens for the people who don't want to work - for those of us who do want to work, it's been a good time with the Tories in power
Absolute bull****. You've no idea of the reality of life for millions in food bank Tory Britain and to say it's because people don't want to work shows you up for the utter tool that you are.

Yeah, that's a good point, hadn't thought of that either.

A massive chunk of those would have been Tories anyway too, everything I've seen had older voters mainly favouring tories/ brexit.

They did kill 150k mind, so lost 100k voters there, but in reality, the tories that survived will be comparing our covid numbers to other poor/ slow nations, rather than the ones that handled it better.

Furlough will be looked at like the tories did a good thing, and it was to be honest, but labour probably would have done more, or maybe handled the pandemic better so not needed as much furlough. Either way though tories aren't going to think of it as a negative, or could have been better.

I'm unsure how "poor" people really are... yes some obviously are, but I really don't believe MILLIONS are

Me and my familly have been Labour for ever, I’m still hanging in there.

The day after the last general election I was in Bishop Aukland on familly business with my sister. I said to her I couldn’t believe it had become a Tory town. She said to me “Look around, it’s a shïthole and it used to be nice when we were kids. People ask what has labour done for them”
There's the problem - it's not Labour to blame. Who was it who defunded local authorities?

You believe the wealth gap only increases because people don't want to work too.

Obviously everyone is just making up that the cost of living has outstripped wage growth over a decade.

Get in the bin with your nonsense.

Why?

What does that say about you. When working people, not just the unemployed, have to resort to foodbanks to feed their kids, you think that's OK?
I'm not sure that's a fair representation of the situation - I know loads of 'working people' and none of them use foodbanks

So you think the millions upon millions of food parcels are mostly fradulently claimed? You think that millions of children below the poverty line is fake? I bet you think they all get more than enough money but pi*s it all agaisnt a wall or spend it on fags and bingo!

I didn't say that you did - but I think if you offer people something for nothing... most will take advantage of it
