14 point Tory lead - Disastrous polling for Labour

YouGov usually do their polls once a week, with their last one released just 3 days ago. Bit strange for them to do another one so soon which conveniently covers the pubs reopening.

Additionally this poll has the Tories ahead in London by 2 points which is very suspicious.

But again it's done its job at grabbing attention.

As always, it’s the pollsters fault as oppose to the bloke offering nothing.

The success of the vaccine roll out is having a massive impact on Tory popularity. The number of deaths also seems largely forgotten now.

Those into politics might feel strongly about Starmer. I doubt the average bloke on the street cares one way or another (and maybe that is part of the problem, but hard to fix when most of the media is practically state controlled). But what people are seeing is huge success with the vaccine and lockdown easing while the rest of Europe (or the world even) struggles. Too many people are poorly informed and/or have too short an attention span.

The Corbyn fan boys have had it in for Starmer from day one though. Much like the Blairites when Corbyn was leader, it seems they'd rather have a corrupt, inept, borderline evil Tory government in charge than the "wrong type" of Labour government.

I despair. I said the same thing when Corbyn was leader. Whatever you think of Labour they are still infinitely preferable to the alternative. It's not remotely close.

I don't expect people to be enthusiastic about it, but anyone with any sort of moral compass and an ounce of common sense should be sucking it up and voting to remove this lot from power given the chance.

I supported Corbyn throughout his time as leader, when the centrists screamed “cult of personality”. It wasn’t, it was because of his policies, which would have made this country a far better place to live in.

I supported Starmer’s appointment, I was willing to give him a chance but he’s been pathetic as an opposition leader.

He’s internally declared war on the left of the party, whilst enabling the government at pretty much every turn of the pandemic.

The centrists have become the personality cult they claimed to be against. Starmer has nothing to offer. No vision, no policies and political instincts. All he’s there to do is accumulate power. He’s an empty vacuum.

I just can’t support that, a Labour Party which stands for nothing and has no policies to improve people’s lives doesn’t deserve my vote.

I regularly follow the pollsters and this is an outlier based on their own recent polling with suspicious numbers.

Do your own research into it and come to your own conclusions, their data is available to view.

Regardless of the wider view of such a headline poll, I think a massive 19 point swing in London from their own poll release just 3 days ago is a tad suspicious.

It's interesting the opinions of starmer I am reading here. He's not a socialist he's just another tory. Everything in his past suggests the exact opposite. I can't be bothered going into it but look up his pro bono work in the carribean. Look up the mclibel case.

He is a long way from a tory.

He is percieved by the public largely based on his current media profile versus Johnsons. That was the case with Corbyn until due weight kicks in. There isn't a lot starmer can do about this.

You may not agree with his policies which is fine but you can't blame him for media coverage nor accuse him of being a tory. Both positions are wrong.

As usual on these threads the anti Tory majority unravel and start attacking each other. There's only one thing that the Labour Left hate more than the Tories and it's the Labour Right, the same for the Labour Right as witnessed with all the politicking when Corbyn was running the show!

I couldn't bring myself to vote for the Cons or Labour - What is left?
They're all left
Highest levels of taxation in 50 years with this lot in government for 11 years
But Corbyn has made Labour toxic to many of the swing voters
My late father said before the 1992 election when Labour were favourites that the Tories wil always get their vote out, and he was right
Also Labour rarely do as well in the actual votes as they do in the opinion polls - they're a million miles from power, and about to lose Hartlepool to a party that's been in power 11 years

This is tripe and nothing to do with the current situation.

Spot on (y) Its about politics and policies not personalities. All we know for certain about Starmer is "I am a Zionist" (!). That helps the unemployed in the UK, the homeless, 3 million kids below the bread line........etc, etc.

This is a very left wing Tory government-

Economy shut down to protect the elderly and the vulnerable from the virus.

Up to 11 million paid to sit at home to ride it out.

NHS funding up and centre stage during the virus.

Big public spend announced for areas outside London.

Business and the private sector relegated in importance.

Tax rises to come but direction of travel is not what you would expect from the Tories.

Ive said it before, they will be disappointed they are not 20% ahead in the polls with the populist policies.

Some people might say my life is in a rut
But I'm quite happy with what I got
People might say that I should strive for more
But I'm so happy I can't see the point
Somethings happening here today
A show of strength with your boys brigade
And I'm so happy and you're so kind
You want more money of course I don't mind
To buy nuclear textbooks for atomic crimes
And the public gets what the public wants
But I want nothing this societys got
I'm going underground (going underground)
Well the brass bands play and feet start to pound
Going underground (going underground)
Well let the boys all sing and the boys all shout for tomorrow
Some people might get some pleasure out of hate
Me, I've enough already on my plate
People might need some tension to relax
Me, I'm too busy dodging between the flak
What you see is what you get
You've made your bed, you better lie in it
You choose your leaders and place your trust
As their lies wash you down and their promises rust
You'll see kidney machines replaced by rockets and guns
And the public wants what the public gets
But I don't get what this society wants
I'm going underground (going underground)
Well the brass bands play and feet start to pound
Going underground (going underground)
So let the boys all sing and the boys all shout for tomorrow
We talk and talk until my head explodes
I turn on the news and my body froze
The braying sheep on my TV screen
Make this boy shout, make this boy scream!

This from 30th January - only 2 1/2 months ago.
The trend continues....and Starmer is tucked in like a pilot waiting for his plane to crash.
Its almost like Starmer was chosen out of all the careerist politicians to deliberately destroy the Labour Party?! [Doing a damn good job if that wasnt his brief]!

Starmer falls even further behind the man responsible for over 100,000 needless deaths

Lethality and dishonesty abound – yet Starmer’s failure to oppose is giving Johnson and the media an easy ride

Boris Johnson has presided over the deaths of more than 100,000 UK citizens and counting – deaths that the example of New Zealand, with only 25 deaths in the whole pandemic and none since September, proves were entirely avoidable, especially in an island nation – and has combined that with the developed world’s worst economic collapse of the pandemic.

Over that he has ladled dishonesty, fake news and an array of excuses that would embarrass an addled schoolboy who hadn’t done his homework.

Yet Keir Starmer and the party under him have fallen further behind Johnson and the Tories in the public’s estimation – in spite of the friendly and even fawning assistance of much of the so-called mainstream media.

Starmer’s ’empty suit’ persona and his failure to take Johnson’s murderous handling of the pandemic head-on have given Johnson an easy ride and have made the ‘msm’s job – of covering Johnson’s backside and passing on his propaganda as news – pathetically easy.

And his ‘try not to upset little England’ approach is failing dismally, according to the latest Opinium polling:

Starmer’s appalling inadequacy does far worse than shame a once-great party. When a government is murderous and the media are corrupt and all too eager to smooth its path, such silence and weakness adds to the already-horrific death toll.

Dont forget Holgate: In your deluded Tory Utopia there is no "INSTITUTIONAL RACISM" in the UK either. ["Whitewash" - being very appropriate].
