I didn't know this was a thing...like a normal Duvel but less dangerous?!!

Where are you based? Goose Island is a Chicago beer but I've never seen the Midway IPA anywhere here (doubly ironic as Midway is the name of the city airport).I'm on the Goose Island Midway tonight after finishing the La Virgen which was exceptional.
Yeah I think the 'normal' Duvel is 8.5% abv or thereabouts. This 6,66 is smoother and a tad more drinkable.I didn't know this was a thing...like a normal Duvel but less dangerous?!!
19th century Northumberland folk music about mining disputes? You name it, we've got it.I honestly don't know what's happened to my musical tastes. Once on a time my heart slammed the blood round my body to the beat of the Pistols - that foot stomping, marching sound on Holidays In The Sun did funny things to my circulation. But I look at myself now, acoustic guitar hanging off my neck while I fumble around the elusive perimeters of harmonies to 19th century Northumbrian folk songs about coal mining disputes. It's f**king tragic!
Tiny Rebel is a cracking brewery. I particularly like its Clwb TropicanaA Tiny Rebel Tropical Fruit/Bubblegum IPA thing. 8.5%
I'm 10 minutes drive from Delaval and know the song very well. The remains of the old mine are now scattered in woodland but at the time it was huge - the biggest mine in Europe, with 7 separate entrances. Why do I know this? Because I'm tragic.19th century Northumberland folk music about mining disputes? You name it, we've got it.
Not tragic Harry, just possessed of good musical taste. I saw RT perform this at the Sage as part of his 1000 years of popular music tour.I'm 10 minutes drive from Delaval and know the song very well. Jez Lowe did a great - and very poignant - job of weaving that old song into one of his about the '84 strike:19th century Northumberland folk music about mining disputes? You name it, we've got it.
Sorry GS but I'm in the mighty American suburb NottinghamWhere are you based? Goose Island is a Chicago beer but I've never seen the Midway IPA anywhere here (doubly ironic as Midway is the name of the city airport).
I mean that in a nice way guysOh to hear such rubbish in a pub near us,
Get some crisps when you go to the bar will you please? This thread is like one of those rambling conversations in a pub. It ranges from the frankly surreal etiquette of armchair dancing to 19th century folk songs, and how they relate to current political situations. Where else could you find such a breadth of topics?
How strange!Sorry GS but I'm in the mighty American suburb Nottingham
I get the kegs for my Perfect Draft from Beer Hawk, I had the IPA the other week, but at 5.9% it was going down far to easily so switched to the Midway for tonight.
Anything except cheese & onion!Get some crisps when you go to the bar will you please?
Who remembers spring onion crisps? They were the boys, hardly ever see them these days.Anything except cheese & onion!
