I mean after years and years of cuts to everything and people's livelihoods destroyed by them they wouldn't win an election would they?

What's your point? They are in power and should be acting in the best interests of the 60m plus people across the UK. They aren't, they're acting in the best interests of their funders. Do you really think this won't have any impact on how the Tories are viewed moving forward?

Do you know what WeeGord, my concern is that for a large number of people, it won't - I have family members and friends who still think that the government is doing a decent job, despite all the evidence to the contrary

If, after all the dust has settled, we are left with thousands of unnecessary deaths and if the morally bankrupt austerity policies enforced by the Government over a decade or more doesn't get people to the point where the penny drops then there is no hope at all for the future.

I'm perfectly calm thanks FatCat; it takes an awful lot more than someone like you to raise my blood pressure. How about getting back to the point though rather than deflecting? Can you please explain why you are so in love with this Tory government and Priti Patel and them being beyond any sort of reproach from you?

I'm certainly not drunk FatCat, you're plainly not willing to engage in debate and only capable of deflection and whataboutery... seems typical for a Tory these days. Regarding my 'interjection' my understanding was this was a public forum with public threads? If you don't want people to respond to these threads then take your conversations to the private inbox facility this site provides otherwise accept people will pull you up on the ridiculous crap you post.
