But Adi your stats show two things, he is living on a past reputation and can actually score when he can be ar&&d!
1 in 4 simply isn’t good enough
I don't think he's a disgrace - he's just not very good. It's not his fault we thought he was worth £15 million and £35,000 a week. If we're handing out blame I'd start with the recruitment team.
Of course it is supported! What are you talking about? Watmore has been here 5 minutes and didn’t come as a recognised striker - and he is doing as well!
The effort and application is poor - very poor. I am surprised at you Adi trying to defend such a misfiring striker who isn’t worth £3 k a week - let alone £30k plus. The season and his contract vacant come soon enough
Adi, as usual, will argue his viewpoint till the cows come home - even when he knows folk are talking about his return and goal scoring prowess ( or lack of) this season.
Current form as opposed to historical data - surely the yardstick to measure him by.
But our Adi won’t have it as it doesn’t suit his agenda - some things in life never change!!
It's hardly embarrassing as Adi says. We bought him to play as a striker who we knew needed a partner. Pulis and warnock have both had him up front on his own. He was never going to score goals or create chances for himself. At times we struggle to create 3 chances a game and he needs 3 to score as do most in this league.
I think you can pan him for his work rate but only an idiot would play him as a lone striker. Funny how the first time warnock played 2 up top on sat and he was nowhere to be seen. 2 fingers 2 britt??
You've proved my point in your first sentence Indeedido "appalling value for money'Assombolonga is a spud.
Dress it up however you want and his record at Middlesbrough is appalling value for money.
He has scored 15 goals in a season once here and only once at Forest too.
He has got 75 league goals in 7 Championship seasons, assuming the waster doesn't play for us again.
It is not his fault we paid a ludicrous sum for him or gave him such a big contract, but that doesn't stop his value being questioned. He has provided pitiful value for money.
Goals per minute is a function of goals scored and minutes played. The only person who has stopped him playing is himself and his awful form; there has been no other cap on his time.
He is easy to drop, too easy to substitute off and doesn't score goals.
He is also bone idle, makes nothing happen for himself and contributes nothing else to the team.
Of all the players to offer a defence for I am surprised anybody would choose this bloke.
I can't wait for him to leave the club; under 100 days after tomorrow.
I agree re VFM and it is not your point it is a point. You've proved my point in your first sentence Indeedido "appalling value for money'
It all about the transfer fee and wages isn it ?
We bought a 1 in 3 Championship striker...it's not his fault we paid £15 million for him.
What did we get ? a 1 in 3 Championship striker !!!!
187 league games ??? So you're now slagging him off for not scoring in games he didn't even play in...I agree re VFM and it is not your point it is a point.
No we didn't get a 1 in 3 striker.
We will play 187 league games in his 4 seasons here and he has scored 45 goals. He won't even score 1 in every 4 Boro league matches.
Don't give him credit for not playing or finishing matches. He doesn't start or finish too many matches because he's cack.
His conversion rate is 1 in 10 chances and 1 in 6 in the 6 yard box. He is a spud.
