Not seen or heard anything about retrospective action being taken against him. Has he got away with it?
Yeah, that makes sense. ThanksSeems like it.
They tend to out only give retroactive punishment for deliberate violent conduct, and as horrible as it was, I don't think anyone thinks Branthwaite did it on purpose.
Chris it wasn't a poor decision, it was rank bad, a dereliction of duty, one that could have back fired really badly if the players had over reacted to the challenge.
It had no place on a football pitch, albeit accidental.
Though more needs to be done to encourage referee's of the future into the game.
Looks like he reffed at MK Dons on Tuesday but can't see him on list for this weekendI'm more interested in the referee, its really frustrating that nothing ever seems to be done about poor decisions.

Its events like this that disenchant me so much about football today. A game I love both playing and spectating. A defender can rip the shirt off the back of a forward in the penalty area and get away with it, a nudge sends a player sprawling and receives a yellow card. A good referee should go unnoticed! Arrgghh!!!!Chris it wasn't a poor decision, it was rank bad, a dereliction of duty, one that could have back fired really badly if the players had over reacted to the challenge.

And if you are right, which seems likely, just how bad is that?Retrospective action cannot be taken if the referee saw the incident and decided no action was necessary.
Therefore we can assume that the ref did indeed see it and thought there was no need to take any action.
