Sir Lewis Hamilton

You really are struggling with the fact that he pays his tax aren't you? Why don't you just admit it and move on.

Losing the election does not mean that he is to the right of Blair. You may remember clause 4. Written in 1918 it formed Labour's written constitution which officially stated Labour's standing as a Socialist Party. Blair got rid of it.
I enjoy arguing with you, I feel superior.

Er since every major broadcaster in the world buys it for their sports channels. Or governments give it protected broadcast rights status?
I would define a sport as an activity that I and others can participate in by playing.

Football
Tennis
Badminton
cycling
rugby
swimming
hockey
..
and on and on
But I cant jump in a Ferrari and drive round the block for a couple of hours all paid for by someone else.

Anyone putting money into an ISA tax free scheme but calling out Lewis is a hypocrite. Anyone who has ever received cash that should have have been taxable but failed to declare it is a hypocrite. Anyone who enjoyed a capital gains windfall but failed to declare it is also a hypocrite. Anyone forming a company and putting his wife/mother/son/pet dog as an employee in order to reduce their tax bill is a hypocrite. Anyone donating to a charity and using it to reduce their tax bill is a hypocrite. Anyone who has been/is an Expat, paying local tax but nothing to the UK is a hypocrite.

Anyone denigrating Lewis Hamilton simply because of his skin colour is vile.

As an aside from skin colour, the English people have this really annoying trait of building people up and then simply cannot wait to knock them down again.

Well said.
Heres an explanation

I’m sure Lewis will be shedding a tear or 2 tonight when he sees the autistic gammon bloke going on his bizarre rant.

What is the issue if the bloke is autistic?

Most F1 drivers start off in karting. You could do that if you were good enough.

Top sportsman gets deserved award. 7 pages of comments. MP who basically did his job badly gets an award. No comments. Says a lot about tabloid culture these days I am afraid. Let’s knock down the tall poppy.

What an utterly ridiculous post.

Is there a need to hand out medals to people whose success is already richly rewarded? Might draw more attention to people who have made a significant personal sacrifice.
Taking it further (if I dare), there's a distinction that could be made between coming first in a sporting competition (Olympic gold say, or most golas in a PL season) or being the absolute first (world record holder, in which case Hamilton nearly there).

Content rather than where the bloke sits on the spectrum is clearly the issue.

If you share his views fair enough, we'll leave it there. Have a good day.
Well if you mock someone for who you see as autistic and make a racist slur based on the colour of his face then I think that comes under the category of ironic in the context of this thread

Some interesting points in here.
The monarchy as a whole has become more and more less relevant in recent years.
Do people who aren't supporters of the monarchy really care who and who doesn't get titles anymore?
Personally I don't think it matters much in this day and age, sure the recognition for say charity work or acts of bravery is a great thing and I'd definitely be on the side of giving those people titles but titles for sporting achievements or services to music for example I don't think warrant a title before their name.
My reasons? Well there is no doubt for example that Lewis is a phenomenal driver with out of this world talent and has displayed it since he got picked up by McLaren as a teenager. He's consistently on top of his game but ultimately F1 is a team sport. The mechanics and engineers on his side of the garage are just as much a winner as he is, he is but one (granted a large one) component of a winning team.
