Exactly Lemmy. Same with these shows. Do you mean with new actors like they did with Dad’s Army? Hated that. The Likely Lads and Steptoe

Agree with your first para dood, although I'd love to see a reworking of Blake's 7 off the top of my head.
Blakes Seven. Great shout. I think it would work. Who would play queen bitch Servelan?
If you look at US TV then I think you can see why it's not always a good idea. I'm thinking of Magnum, Hawaii 5-0 and others that they've redone. Best to leave the classics alone.
It might not be a disaster Fair, but I'm personaly of the opinion that TV and movies should try and be original and not just vehicles for milking as much cash as possible.
To my mind I'd rather have a few episodes of something like Fawlty Towers than see it done to death like The Big Bang Theory which started off really well, but then became stale as it went on far too long.
Same with movies and the obsession with remakes, some of which aren't even remaking what you'd class as old movies. Don't get me started on stuff like the Italian Job either.
Far from it, I like modern comedies too such as 'It's Always Sunny...', 'Silicon Valley', 'Veep' and others. My point was, at some point a show will run out of steam and in my mind it's far better to quit while you're ahead than to just get to the point where you're phoning it in and risk tarnishing the whole thing. Look at the reactions to the last season of GoT to see how it can impact a shows legacy. All opinions though isn't it - you like an older style of comedy it seems.
