Unacceptible "Paedo" and offensive chants / behaviour at MFC / SAFC Game

I am not defending it at all btw, but it wasn't the minority or the daft lads at Leeds away who were singing very similar stuff, it was (almost) everyone. Loyal supporters of course, as you needed high loyalty points to get a ticket.

I don't know of any Boro fans reporting it (including myself of course).
Shouldn't happen. I'd be quite happy for Boro to take the initiative and start by warning our fans that offensive chanting will result in punishments and to take action on those threats.

There should be a joint policy with Sunderland, they should be warned that their fans are being monitored and that action will be taken once identified.

It really wouldn't take much to stamp it out, there is just no appetite for it by those who could.

Not surprising when some think it's "bantz".

I wasn't surprised that the bulk of the tickets last to sell were in the east stand next to the away fans. I managed to get me and the boy tickets in the north after a few rows became available, we wouldn't have gone if the east stand seats were the only option where we could have sat together.

A joint statement would be good, but we have had them in the past (I think) and they don't seem to have any effect.

I really don't know what can be done about it when the away ends are full of 20 year old wannabe gangstaz/hoolies on coke and steroids. They don't care what anyone thinks.

I'm guessing they will see it as a victory and they will all have a bloody good laugh about it.

Not what I saw as I left past the away segregation, it was middle aged blokes, red in the face screaming "paedo's", refusing to get on coaches and pressed up against the fence and police cordon. Boro fans who objected to it were pushed on by the police.

Well you're right, its not JUST the 20 year olds chanting by any stretch, but these older blokes you're on about also don't care. They think football is 'for the working classes' (it isn't, its for ALL classes/genders/age-groups/ethnicities/religions) and use that as an excuse to behave like animals. No one can stop them, sadly, its a tale as old as time.

Personally, I wouldn't take my son to a Newcastle/Sunderlands/Leeds match until he's a fair bit older. I know this isn't necessarily the action one should have to take, but I just don't see the benefit of taking him at the age he is where he wouldn't understand what was going on/being said etc.

Adam Johnson.. you know exactly what song

Hopefully
I know which song, and as per your strangely desperate attempts to minimise some disgusting chanting - how does singing "he's one of your own" become offensive? Especially when in response to "you shag your kids" chants etc.

Personally I'd want it all stamped out, grown blokes trying to get one up over child sexual abuse ffs!!! It's hideous.

I think he means the one that fits the tune of Cum on Feel the Noize.

I agree it would be great to stamp it out, I just can't see how its possible.

My sons response was "Dad, flip them off". I explained they aren't worth it and that are and always will be horrible fans. On a par with Leeds, who happily he refers to as the "Dirties".

Which is fine but they do think the same of us, and it wouldn't be unfair given some of the stuff I've seen/heard over the years.

They're not sitting there going 'Oh Boro....look at them, impeccably behaved as usual'. All clubs have this stuff to contend with. Admittedly some a bit more than others, sure.

Sunderland fans aren’t the brightest and among the most horrible people I have worked with. After we beat them a few years ago (Stuani scored) I gave one lad I worked with some ribbing on WhatsApp his only response was “you sleep with your kids”.

you know exactly why.. you can't have one rule for one and one for another.. you know what it means.
again we have a do gooder unfortunately achieving the exact opposite of what they want to achieve.

personally you do want it stamping out.. you and if you personally get your way.. then the barrier will be lowered in regards to what is offensive.. oh by the way.. we are still not doing enough to tackle racism, sexism or homophobia.. but it's ok.. because you don't understand it.. you are all very motivated on this one particular issue and therefore it supersedes anything else.

down with bad things eh

I reckon a good old fashioned punch in the face would have sorted that one out.

I just think its best not to take this kind of thing personally. I bet he didn't really think you slept with your kids, he's just a sore loser clearly.

They've been referred to as seagull shaggers on here tbf.

Isn’t “hate crime” a bit over the top ?
Not according to the Crown Prosecution Service.
