* The Unofficial “Official” Chelsea v Boro - Carabao Cup SF [2nd leg] Match-Night Thread *

Embarrassing this, feels like we've just gifted them like four of their goals just being stupid at the back.

No excuses, but no blame either from me. Chelsea and the like are a world away from us. It just emphasises the massive - nay, obscene - gulf in football at the top level these days. None of our lads are to blame for that. They went out and did their best but it was clearly nowhere near enough.

We move on, heads up. I retain faith in Carrick and the team.

To be honest Jones wouldn't have made much difference.

Chelsea haven't played well, but didnt have to, we are an average mid table Championship team, trying to play like Man City at back, we got away with it in 1st game, down to poor finishing from them, but they knew we would do same tonight...

I’m disgusted tonight.

Not by the players, the performance or Carrick.

But by some of the clueless chunts on this thread.

We’re decimated by injuries, we’re knackered from so many games with such a small squad, we’re playing a team with resources we could only dream of in a major semi and we won the first leg.

It’s caught up with us tonight but I’m proud of the lads. They can hold their heads high as far as I am concerned.

Good job there is a decent break now before the Sunderland game. Good game to kick start the season again, and try and forget about tonight (easier said than done though!).

Actually didn’t realise there was a break, I was thinking it was this weekend and we’re gonna be knackered.

That’s cheered me up a bit.
