Channel Migrants (Admin advisory. Contains disturbing image and repulsive views)

Its easy to say they should seek asylum in the first country they come to when your country has dozens of countries between them, you think a country that just happens to be near by should take every asylum seeker and us none?

It got me to Iraq on the back of them lies.
It wasn’t an aberrant post.
It is actually a proven fact that that’s what happened.
The rules of engagement are different when its a suited politician in London, sending other peoples sons, daughters, wives, husbands, mates, etc to fill a box in Iraq.
Vets are treated like schitt, but its not because civvis dont care.
The same faces which sent the lads out there dont want to take any responsibility.
Best off saving your ammo for those who hide from the line of fire.
I think we all generally possess humanity and humility.
I once met a Rabbi in Jerusalem who said that anger is the expression of a wasted man.
He said it takes more of a man to wage peace than fight others wars.
He asked where had I been - and I said "Bethlehem".
He looked down and said "your shoes have been south into the desert".
I couldnt lie.
Its moments like that when peace decends.

I was fuming, I edited as soon as I'd posted it, not lowering myself to that level. That sink them comment made me see red.
And I have deleted mine after accepting what half I said was wrong.
Been called worse than inhuman scum so.

It's an issue that is never going away unfortunately until world peace is obtained.

Interesting figures roofie. Do you have the figures that show how many failed applications get deported?
I can retrieve them for you - but some may have to wait until tomorrow.

We shouldnt confuse "applications" with the number actually granted asylum.

We need to bear in mind that of those seeking asylum a high proportion leave the UK to either return to their own or other countries.

Asylum is not the same as refuge: refuge is temporary -

Facefuzz [bluddy Matelots] - get a decent shave - heres a few figures to chew on.
Its online, but tedious wading throw piles of figures.....

5.1 Immigration detention

The number of people entering detention in the year ending March 2020 (23,075) was 5% less than the previous year. This continues a general downward trend since 2015.

As at 31 March 2020, there were 895 people in immigration detention, down from 1,637 as the end of December 2019 and less than half the number as at 31 March 2019 (1,839).

In the year ending March 2020, 23,942 people left the detention estate (down 5%), a similar number to those entering. Almost two-fifths (38%) had been detained for 7 days or less, and three-quarters (74%) detained for 28 days or less. There has been an increase in the proportion of people leaving detention within 28 days, from 69% in 2018 to 74% in the year ending March 2020.
5.2 Returns

In the year ending March 2020, enforced returns from the UK decreased to 6,778, 21% lower than the previous year and the lowest number since records began in 2004. The fall was largely accounted for by the fall in enforced returns of people who were in detention prior to their return (down 19% to 4,644).

Over the same period, there were 10,421 voluntary departures. Although these data are not directly comparable over time (as voluntary returns are subject to upward revision, as in some cases it can take time to identify people who have left the UK without informing the Home Office) the numbers recorded have fallen since 2015.

For further details see ʻHow many people are detained or returned?’.

There are a few racist pillocks on here but this Randy savage chap is a particularly vile piece of work.

I wasn’t a matelot roofie.
Bridge builder, demolition man and combat engineer.
I’ll read them in the morning.
Cheers

No government is going to make our small island with finite resources bigger. It’s impossible.
No, but government can make the resources bigger-more schools, more doctors, more houses.... it’s not just immigrants who suffer from a lack of those things. And it’s certainly not because of immigrants that we all suffer from a lack of those things.
The bogey man is not the immigrant. That’s just what they want you to think!

Not that small. There's plenty of room if it's funded properly.

It will never be funded properly by having people turn up illegally. They can’t contribute when illegal.
It’s the numbers that should be controlled. Not a blanket ban. Just some control

Ah.

You mentioned the navy on the south coast and I had this image of the Royal Maritime Club in Pompey.

It will never go away when people have opinions on it like you do unfortunately
Again opinions are allowed in a free world.
Legitimate legal migration is absolutely fine. Illegal migration is not and more should be done by all parties and countries to stop it.

Stop worrying about a few refugees. What about the Russian Laundromat that is London. All those buildings sitting empty because of money laundering. Those who contribute to the Conservative party coffers.

An extra person is an extra person. Yeah I’d like Tracy off Facebook to stop knocking feral kids out but that’s a different story.
Migrants are extra people who weren’t born here and have to travel here.
They’re are the extra bodies I’m talking about controlling.

They are, but when your opinion consists of sinking a boat full of people trying to improve their lives thats just sick, and thankfully judging by the reaction to that comment those comments certainly arent welcome on here

They’re harder to control than the people in the boats (the subject of this thread)
What about the Russians? They’re just above the Chinese at the bottom of my Christmas card list. I’d gladly see them elsewhere aswell
