Where would you like to live for 3 months?

Tokyo I think as Ive never been, and it would be a good base to explore the rest of Japan. Plus the city itself would be pretty mind blowing I reckon. Living in London Im used to hustle and bustle but that would be on another level, and I like the idea of being completely out of my comfort zone

What he said, verbatim.

I am a little torn on this. I am going to say Peru to see Machu Picchu, The Sacred Valley and the former Fortress of Ollantaytambo. I know its not close by, but I would also try and take in the Iguazu Falls between Brazil and Argentina if feasible.

Spectacular scenery and a dream since my late teenage years would be fulfilled

Montreal. A place I've never got round to going but would love to spend a fair bit of time there and get to know it.

I've been to Buenos Aires, yeah its lush.

Have to say I found Tokyo a bit 'meh'.

My second choice would be Hong Kong, though probably not at the moment.

A great city. My best mate lived there for the last 3 years and it's a great place to live, although bloody freezing in the winter.

I'm struggling to think of somewhere I'd like to live that I haven't visited, but having visited it Austin, TX and Portland, OR would be up there, as well as Manhattan. I'd also love to live in Paris & Amsterdam at some point too.

Iguaçu Falls are absolutely stunning, I’ve seen them from both sides of the river and i marginally prefer the view from the Brazilian side, but either way they are spectacular.

Would have to be Italy for me, loved Rome and Venice so picking somewhere I've not visited in the country, I would go Florence or maybe Naples. Love the food and found 'holiday Italian' relatively easy to pick up

Perth in Australia early in the year. Want to go up and down the west coast taking in Fremantle. Dwelt in Brisbane on the other side for a while a few decades ago. Like it warm.
OK in North Yorks at the moment. Summer is today and tomorrow.

I'd probably say New York. Have never been and anyone I speak to who has been tells me how incredible it is from the food, the shopping, the nightlife, the live music. There is something about watching those shows like Man v Food and Eddie Eats America that makes me really want to go. I'm not a fatty, but would be by the time I'd finished my 3 month stay, the grub looks amazing!

Rural Mexico in the spring, Sonora or Chihuahua areas

So long as I can stay clear of the drugs cartels I'd be very happy doing nothing but go on long walks in the mountains & desert

My other half, son (and at the time unborn second son!), travelled across Canada for a month back in 2018 as a joint 40th birthday present to ourselves. Although we loved everywhere we went Montreal was our absolute favourite, lovely waterfront area and the park up the top of the mountain range was great with spectacular views. Just so much to do there and even poutine tasted great!

If I was going to go anywhere new for 3 months it would be Nova Scotia, Canada. Heard so much about it from the natives while we were in Canada, sounds like a truly beautiful place and very relaxing.

Another shout for Japan here.
The country is on my bucket list of places to visit before I die. Would love to engross myself in the culture and the night life.

It's an incredible place. Living there would be hard though. Everything is expensive and (unlike the entire rest of the US) houses are expansive and tiny. Certainly one for the "visit often" but not actually living there list.

Roofie I was just listening to a Podcast called Plumbers and Penguins and it was about tradesmen getting a job with the British Antarctic Survey, fascinating place. Wrap up warm though -50C...
