Yusuf ignore the muppets

When I said ignore them, I didn’t mean ignore them. I meant for Yusuf to try and not let it affect him or his love for the club and the rest of the fan base.
I’m sure he won’t, because of the type of nice fella he is.
Sounds like lots of folks have reported these racists at the game.. doesn’t sound like they’ll be going to any more boro games.

Not just seats numbers either.. folks who know who that are have reported them too.. by the sounds of it.

Good. Never let them enter our or any stadium again. People have to see that actions have consequences.

If you mean because they might not have been sat in their own seats, I'm certain they were.

We were accidentally in their seats and they came to the game about 10 minutes after kick off so we had to move down a row to where our actual seats were. I'm almost certain they had their tickets out so their names should be linked to those tickets.

I knew they were pr!cks the way they went about making us move down a row. We were on the two end seats of the row and they just barged in rather than allowing us to move out of the row to go to our actual seats.

They confirmed just how big of a pr!ck all four of them were when 10 minutes later they started being racist.
Good job you moved. If they had sat in your seat you may have have been getting a call from the club.

The support for Yusuf on here is great. However telling someone who has been racially abused to ignore it, is not the answer. As fans of not just Boro but football as a whole we need to stand up to racists whenever we hear or see this abuse. The Club need to ban them for life and name and shame them...and anyone who stands up to defend them should also be told to not bother coming to any matches as well, because nobody can defend racism. The Club need to do a damn sight more than they do to tackle this issue, as any objections appear to be falling on deaf ears

I'd love to know what goes on in people's heads for them to do this. What fundamental character flaw must they have? What went wrong in their lives to be so full of hate and venom?
Probably jealousy, pure and simple. Yusuf gets positive publicity and lots of accolades for his support for the club. These idiots don't and get petty and abusive rather than having the nous to realise that if they were as positive and passionate they may get some good things said about them...

Is the club going to come out with something to say they're investigating this or something? I think it would be a pretty damning message to the racists that it's not acceptable

Are you sure about this? I hope it is true but am not certain.

Just off twitter tbh.. could totally be made up couldn’t it.

Multiple account stating that they witnessed this racial abuse and reported it.. not just their seat numbers either.

If descriptions are available and they are regulars as has been stated.. then if they have not already been identified then it’s only a matter of time.

It came from a good place at least, no genuine fan want to see a fellow supporter suffer or themselves be tarnished with this disgusting behaviour.

It has no place in football.. to light of a touch has been applied previously.

ban for life has to be the easiest option

I do not think that the club is doing enough.. I’ve said it before. Pretty sure I’ll be told that the club does lots of things and spend a lot of time tackling racism.. collecting old shirts, taking pictures of nannas, getting a free pint, having meetings etc etc etc

To me the club is rightly sending out the message that racism is not acceptable. Unfortunately this is being challenged by racists - who are in the main getting away with it

Shame it wasn't called out at the time by people, but I get if you are there with kids etc it's just not worth the risk as you know how a group of knuckle draggers are likely to respond.

It looks like the Boro game v Cardiff tomorrow night is the annual Kick It Out anti racism match - so that will be very timely. I believe the club are looking at how to respond tomorrow and underlining what supporters should do if they hear/see racism at a game. Different options hopefully.

I heard the term 'black boy' from behind me at the Blackburn away match, accompanied by a few titters, in reference to ELL.

No idea who said it, but suspect it was one of the disgruntled/drunk youths when we were 2-0 down. I didn't really think I could report it, as I didn't know who'd said it, and they all kept moving around. Not sure we can ever stop this kind of thing other than through education.
