Just had them installed yesterday. Got 1gb for £1 for 3 months, then £30 each month. Virgin were charging us £62 for 100Mbps and landline

Ive had the1GB package with them since last December. I paid nothing until June as I was still under contract until the end of May. £25/month there after for the length of the 18 month contract. Can't fault them.

we've had the 1gb for £30 and had the 1st 3 months for a £1, I echo what others have said speed and stability are fantastic previously with virgin and the good thing with YF is its 1GB up and down where virgin is nowhere near that for uploading.
The 1 downside Ive found is if you connect to something in your home directly remotely (I have CCTV and servers) then you cannot do this with the basic package as you get given a sort of shared IP address which prevents you from connecting directly you can however pay for a public static IP address to overcome this for an extra £5 a month

the other thing is I found their Eero router garbage terrible signal around the house and somethings just would not connect to it like my at the time ps4 pro which after googling seems a common thing so I went back and plugged in my google mesh, everything then worked and connected as it should

My kids have never complained that they cannot online game, they use pc and xbox, if things are managed by a host server then thats ok, like I can use my cctv via the hikvision servers however they are terrible really slow and often dont respond thats why I setup a direct link through some other software but it hasn't bothered me enough to pay an extra fiver for a static ip

You can game without it but as it uses CGNat, you can only play certain types of online games as your network will usually be allocated a strict NAT type, which is a nightmare for games like fifa and call of duty. Basically limits you to playing with other people with CGNat. Some games won't be affected by it.
I "pay" the five although never paid it as it is knocked off with the free months also, well worth it imo as have a static ip to connect to and everything is lightning fast

Just my regular call for those not tech minded or for those who, like me do not have the availability of YouFibre, that you'd easily run the above setup with a much lower download speed without any issues at all. I use Vodafone and they are excellent and cheap. I run about 35 different connected devices, including cctv, smart heating, connected tvs and streaming as well as a simple gaming setup.
I'm especially saying this for those of you on Virgin media, who have often been given awful hardware and experience regular drop outs and service connection issues. More speed isn't the solution you need. It's better hardware such as a better router or WiFi mesh system.
That said, for those of you who do have access to this offer. Seems like a no brainier, the speed versus price is fantastic and I wish I had it where I live, which is hardly in the sticks ffs
If you're changing providers then absolutely always check to see if you can get a big chunk of cashback by using one of the many sites that offers up to hundreds of £ for buying the deal through their affiliate link.
For example Virgin have £75ish quid cash back going for a new account, Sky £110 and Vodafone £102 via the topcashback website/app which is free.
I've saved £1200 in three years biting insurance and other such things that I was always planning on buying by using these sites

Gotta say guys, that’s pretty good. A bit expensive, but good. Living in a small country like Singapore I was always impressed by my service & bandwidth. But my 2gb (fir last 8-10 years) was around £40 per month but was always split to 2x 1gb. But to hear what you guys are getting is impressive. Albeit maybe expensive m. I would pay it

I hate the feature crippled eero router with youfibre allthough it works fine with a standard setup i couldn’t get away with the lack of configuration options and the crappy mobile app so i use my own pfsense router. I am interested to see what router they supply with the new multi gigabit service it will have to be something really high end which hopefully means its less likely to be so locked down

I had a huge smart home network and devices work but downloading an 80gb call of duty patch or movie on 76mb takes 2 hours 20 minutes, on 1gb it's 10 minutes.
Upload is usually hobbled too, at 15-20mb.
The main thing is though that youfibre and similar networks are usually the same price or less than openreach costs for 76mb
Yeah agree, it does a job but it's not great.
