He has complained on twitter about David Coote before (got fined) so on that score alone, he is fine by me. Adds height, presumably the Howson role?

It would be a loan I’d assume were it to materialise?
 
Clearly didn’t set the Championship alight because I’ve still never heard of him!! I thought the thread was going to be about the new Geoffrey Porter or something.

No point in the model if you don’t stick to it though. I’m sure the club would happily sign someone over 24 if they felt the outlay presented value for money but I don’t think you’d see us giving someone like that a long term deal on big wages anymore.

Tommy Smith is the perfect example, 1 year deal, he proved himself to be well worth the money so we gave him a 2 year deal.

I would be happy with that.

And I think he does fit the 'model' in that we have brought in the younger/potential signings, and now MC has been open about needing to balance the squad, i.e. older and experienced.

So I think he fits the 2nd half of the infamous 'model'
 
From what it sounds like, most signings we've made, about a week before we get linked with a few other players in the same position, like Latte we were linked with those Brazilians, Engel we were linked with Bangaura for a while, now Glen Kamara and Isaac Hayden, I think we will sign a defensive midfielder, just not necessarily those two.
