Was nekder not one of the ones on comeonbore who wrote about yusef? Name rings a bell but no idea where from. Or if that was longer ago, maybe it's the info sexpom or forssawakens mentioned getting sent in?

He has a tweet about getting a visit 24 weeks ago for "offending someone"

clearly having a really tough time. I hope he has some good people supporting him. I think there could be a bit of grief transference going on.

I don't think I have ever been on RedRoar and I don't see any messages by me about RedRoar on here, so I can't comment on any claims about him.

But he's clearly going through a very bad time, when you lose your wife, you need to vent, and this place is clearly the focus of his ire right now. I have no idea if he is right to feel angry at any individuals on here?! But it's a lot to carry on your shoulders, grief, police investigations, job loss, being accused of racism, having your passion for Boro polluted. I seem to be the centre of his ire, totally unfairly as I've never said anything against him or his board, but I'll cut him some slack right now.

There are a fair few. I am happy for you to have a look yourself if you want but I'm not that bothered by it.
I was just amused by your claim that 'every comment has been prefixed with “if the comments in private eye are true”.
Very Ian Hislopesque. Hence the smiley after my post.

Have a look at posts 54-56 as a small example. No disclaimers there.

So I ask again, what context, what other side would make it acceptable?

You keep saying we don’t know the context, so clearly think there is a context that would excuse such terrible behaviour.

What is that context?

You keep using words like acceptable and excuse, which I haven’t used at all. The language used is clearly contemptuous and disappointing.

I’m purely stating that the article is one sided and we do not know the context of the conversation.

Fine. My original comment was aimed at someone else not yourself who stated he had lost all respect for Gibson, which as an MFC supporter I think is an overreaction to one business meeting that has been leaked to the media.

Each poster only has to put that prefix once. I see nobody in jeopardy and neither do you.

Checked 54-56, I’m sure gibson would reject those opinions, but calling someone a knob and despicable is an opinion, you can’t sue someone that says you are a knob.

Now I f someone said “Mr X is making 15m in dodgy money from project Y”, then the specificity of that claim would then be open to legal jeopardy, if it were not true. Or a SLAPP even if true.

People are, afterall, just discussing things that have been committed to print in a national publication on an anonymous internet football chat forum. I’m no legal expert but, I’m not sure how that impacts the whole legal action thing.

I said Gibson can be a knob when he wants to be. I'm sure he can be a good bloke when he wants to be too, I'm certainly not disowning him as our chairman even if he has overstepped the mark with those comments (if). I've called all sorts of people knobs before though, including myself, no one has successfully sued me (yet, though I did try). ;)

What has an MFC supporter got to do with anything?

If Gibson’s behaviour is as reported it frickin stinks. Private Eye, to date, have not been challenged by the way.
Whether you support the club or not is irrelevant. (Or, IMO, ought to be).


Suppose the Mags are ok not having a go at The Saudi’s - ‘as Newcastle supporters’
