Indeed I not only voted for them, I campaigned for them both, both are on the opposite side of the party spectrum, I totally agree with our broad-church and believe in collective responsibility.

I suspect your right, but I don't think that it's typical, I think most local political groups are friendly and act as one.

He was elected Labour leader by the members, as was Starmer.
That's how it is, and will be at the election next year.

It's interesting, people have opinions, especially elected councillors who do politics seriously. People will campaign for their beliefs, it might shock some, but most will understand it.

Good shout, it now looks like Anna is asking, first our party members to support her selection, and then the general public to support her as their MP.
That seems a reasonable system to me.

My take on Anna turley, I actually thinks she’s a good mp. She clearly a caring person. Was key behind animal cruelty legislation. She’s done a lot in the community
That said she’s had an adverse effects on local politics. The Normanby by-election she helped door to door. Labour lost, and that contributed.
You only have to look at hartlepool putting an anti brexit candidate in. Labour should pick someone who can better represent the people of Redcar
In addition if Labour didn’t have the infighting before the 2017 which Anna was part of, we may not be enduring the worse for the people of U.K. for a 2 generations
