Where do we improve:
weakest areas with that squad listed above are GK, LB, RW, CF. But if we are to challenge again, we probably need upgrades at CB or RB, CM, and backup for Chuba that can play wide.

Who comes in:
Too early to tell, but I suspect there will be a number coming in.

Who leaves:
Suspect Roberts, Dijksteel, McNair (depending on contract, but might cash in anyway), Bola, Payero, Jones, Hoppe.

Big changes this summer, Should be able to raise 8-10m from them.

The further I typed out who remained I slowly came to the realisation this summer is massive. Without the loans, the quality and depth in the squad diminishes massively. Not to mention those who move into the final year of their contract and face an uncertain summer
 
I forgot to add my 2 pence in whilst creating the thread.

To me we need to upgrade all over the pitch. There isn't enough quality left over and there is nowhere enough depth

On the outs I suspect it could be hectic.

Liam Roberts, Anfernee Dijksteel, Marc Bola, Mathew Hoppe and Isaiah Jones I suspect will be gone

Potential sales could be Dael Fry, Paddy McNair, Matt Crooks and potentially If we get an offer big enough Chuba.

To me we need

Its a huge summer but we have a decent nucleus of a good team.

Its the same every summer. Its just how the Championship operates I think.
 
Yikes, that's a bare bones list and some of them are too brittle for the heights we'll be wanting to hit.

Expect the spaces in the squad will have to be plugged with the full quota of loanees that can be squeezed on the team sheet.
 
As always will be about what budget is set, for wages and amortisation (hence transfers) and getting best value.

Sell: Jones, McGree, Hoppe, Payero, Clarke, Fisher, Coulson
Release: Hall, Lumley, Daniels

Loan in: Smallbone, Ramsey, Diallo, Archer

I'll tell you one thing that's happened over the last two games - after being a severe critic (and yes I'm under-selling the word 'severe' here) - I'm now a huge fan of Paddy McNair. Really hope he stays. If there was one player who didn't deserve to lose last night, it was him.
