I'm not wrong, I have a different opinion. Live with it.
As regards not admitting I'm wrong:
I have praised Lenihan repeatedly in recent weeks and made a big deal out of saying I was wrong about him earlier in the season.
I also repeatedly posted that I thought Steffen had improved in the last couple of months.
I also posted that Forss had been transformed in his wide role and that we missed him greatly.
But there you go again, you've got your line, so that's that.

I like McGree but I think there’s a difference between how he and Ramsey play. Both have their qualities, both warrant a place in the team.
Sell mcgree, football is a funny old game, we all see different things, he is definately important to how we play.

He's brilliant at finding spaces, getting on the half turn and committing opposing defenders. Very good at the little give and goes, and doing something a little different, and has a great work ethic. He isn't the finished article yet though. He's only started 64 games outside of the crappy Australian retirement home league. Still learning but getting better every game. I think next season he will come of age and start to add the consistency of final pass that has maybe stopped him being as good as he could be.

I'm sorry but I have to laugh at the sentiment of "sign a better keeper than Steffen". What club do people think they are supporting? For the style of football we play and our budget/pulling power Zack Steffen is probably as good a keeper as we can dream of attracting. He is perfectly suited to the way our manager wants us to play and I would imagine pretty much any other keeper would be a step backwards. The very first thing Scott, Bauser et al should be doing now the season is over is bending over backwards to sign him on a permanent.
After that I reckon we need a right back, centre back, left back, central midfielder different to what we have to change things up, at least 2 wingers, an number 10 and possibly 2/3 strikers.
I don't actually think that many players will be sold simply because we cannot afford to completely overhaul the squad. I would expect 1 of Fry and McNair to be moved on cos they are in the highest earner bracket, I should think Crooks will be made available, and Payero won't return (as much as I think he should be given a chance, if he wants it. As I said, we simply cannot afford to let 6 loanees go, the majority of which were key players, then sell another 8/9/10 players. We will leave ourselves in a similar position to last season where we are scrapping around for players late in the window cos our squad is far too small

Try and bring back Steffen, Giles, Ramsey and Archer.
I doubt we'll get them all back, if any of them, but each would be excellent for next season.
One plus of the injury to Ramsey, and Archer's poor performance in the play-offs, is that it might put off a few teams.
I think we'd still be hard pressed to get Archer back unless he really wanted to come here and Villa didn't think he was ready for the top flight.

I agree Ramsey's injury record and lower profile as a result might help us get him back.
I reckon other clubs will look beyond a poor play off semi final performance by Archer and focus on the rest.
I really hope we get both back as they are excellent and leave massive holes otherwise.

I have faith we'll get good players in. There are lots of them about and Carrick has shown with Hackney, Akpom, Forss and the controversial McGree that he can improve players. Even Ramsey wasn't doing much at Norwich and was a revelation here.
So if we don't get our loans back, we'll get other ones. I fancy us to get Giles on a permanent and Steffen and Ramsey on loan. But we'll find other good players.
Plenty of good ones on the market as free transfers and we'll have scouted our main targets already.
