Worst Ever Boro 11 - We have our team!

These worst lists need to have defined criteria before they are voted on
I.e cost per game or per goal or whatever

It's a bit lame to just say worst XI as you could just name the worst proffesional footballers at any level that just happened to play the odd game or 2 including
youth players etc etc
Bit late for that, where were you at Ben Roberts 😁

It’s why the criteria of 5 or more games was added.

Ultimately just a bit of fun - feel free to make a spin off!

I’ll tally up the strikers when I get 5 later day then onto the manager vote to lead our champions of men.

Our strikers are Dong Gook Lee and big Rudy Gestede!

A place for super Scot Lee Miller as our no impact sub. Our team is complete but who do we need at the helm to make them even worse (if possible)

Onto the managers vote!

Got to be Monk for me. Completely ruined any chance of us bouncing back to the prem by spending a fortune on donkeys we didn’t need and no one else wanted. Clueless tactically and also allegedly lined his and his bent agents pockets at our expense.

Assistant - Steve Agnew.

Garry Monk

He edges it over Strachan for his dodgy dealings and complete lack of tactical knowledge!
At least Strachan walked away and received nothing

Gordon Strachan. all day long..... two wasted seasons, wasted loads of money on 2nd rate scottish players, and played many of them out of position.
Left without compensation which was the only decent thing he did,
Was always abrupt when questioned about his tactics.. it was awful watching his team play each week home and away.

At least Monk only lasted 6 months in the job

This link has pulis on nearly 30% win rate over 65,000 games: Statto

For all this thread is all about the worst of the people at the club it's been great looking back over the history just to get a view of how valid my player prejudices have been. Top thread, thank you OP!

Monk edges Strachan for me,just about, for sheer scale of ineptitude.

Didn't see this before I posted. Monk probably got the boot quickly due to lessons learned from Strachan tbf so fair shout.

I was thinking about Raich Carter and our gradual downfall into the 3rd division for the first time in our history. But l have to go for Tony Pulis. Why? He got us into the play offs but sent a team out that didn't even compete.
I used to go home depressed even when we had won. A truely awful manager yes even worse than Gordon Strachan!

Its got to be Monk. The money he wasted is eye watering. And he turned down the chance to sell Gestede to Leeds.

All that work getting to the prem undone in one summer by that cretin.

Pulis got us into the play offs and brought us Adams Traore, he didn't have much to spend...

No comparison with the ineptitude of STRACHAN and the money he wasted
Flood, Killeen, Boyd, Thompson, McManus, McDonald, Robson, Halliday....
Don't forget Nicky Bailey....😲
