if its anything like the Newcastle forum, they will be crying conspiracy, claiming casemiro was miles offside, it shouldnt of even been a freekick anwyay and fred should of seen red. I actually thought the ref was very generous to Newcastle throughout and could of given them alot more yellows and punished alot of their late challenges that he didnt revisit. 🤣🤣🤣

I honestly thought Newcastle player's heads had gone and they got involved in the rough stuff instead of trying to pull a goal back.
 
I remember one the old guard geordies reporters ( Doug mountjoy remember him) was interviewed on the eve of one of our finals ( I think it was the Leicester game) and his summary was that

When he was starting out as a young reporter he was always told Middlesbrough don’t win cups.

That was his “impartial” view bare inmind this was on Tyne tees tv.

Yes I’ve never forgotten that little slur

Doug Mountjoy was a snooker player doug weatheall was a journalist and a mackem through and through. Probably living on the memories of 73 Cup final.

Doug Weatherall painted every Sunderland defeat as some sort of victory.

Sportstime on a Friday night on Tyne Tees could get a bit confusing when you had Doug Weatherall fawning over Sunderland, and you had Doug Moscrop guaranteeing North East betting shops made a packet with his ludicrous racing tips.
'Moscrops Moneyspinner'...he couldn't tip coal.
