Does anyone on here want the Geordies to win today?

I don’t mind either way. I have a few Geordie friends and family and think the city itself is brilliant.
 
My nephew and brother in law are Newcastle fans. When my son hasnt been able to go to Boro games I take my nephew and he cheers on Boro as much as anyone in that ground. He's going to Wembley today and I hope they do well for him.
 
Yes, the fact that they are now a front for the most loathsome form of sportswashing should not detract from the fact that whichever way you slice it they have great fans who deserve a day in the sun. It's been fun to poke fun at their interminable heartbreaks down the years but for me it's always a wind-up rather than a genuine animosity. I'll smile to see their five-bellied fans jiggling about in celebration. Such days are what makes football the people's game.
