Your favourite current Boro player

Howson is a very close second mind. Think I over rate everything he does but I just love the fella

I don't know, you get to a particular age and "favourourite player" doesn't really come into your head. I enjoy watching Jones, and also enjoy Howson and Tav's work rate and Crooks popping up in the box (although he's looked jaded recently)

Surely this question should have been asked by using the poll option.

Dijksteel and Howson are the two pivotal players in the squad at the moment. Both players cover a lot of ground and always seem to be there when you need them. Saying that though, someone else has to cover the space they leave and do the donkey work and that is why it is a team game. Wilder seems to have them all pulling in the right direction.

We are going into an era of it being a good time to support the Boro. How many walked away last night and thought I enjoyed that game?

I think McGree is going to be a fans favourite, but right now I’d say its a close run thing between Paddy, Dunks and Izzy.

To be honest there's non I dislike! Even the odd player that I don't rate! But suppose thats a sign of how we are feeling about the club at the minute.

Special mention for Watmore though. Love everything about the lad! Reminds me of when we used to have what seemed like 300 a side games on the estate fields, and there was always that one little younger scamp who was a cracking player but probably needed a good wash and a haircut! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Edit : not saying our Duncan's hygiene is poor or he needs his wig seeing to, but you get what I'm saying!

Not something I've thought about before now. There was a stage a few seasons ago under Pulis where I'd maybe have struggled to name one. Now there's probably at least 7/8 contenders .

McNair, Dijksteel, Fry, Crooks, Howson, Tav, Jones.

Gun to the head, I'd probably go McNair. Really like them all though and I don't really dislike anyone in the squad, they all offer something and seems like a really "good group" as Warnock would say.

The most enjoyable to watch this season has definitely been Jones though.

Really hope he's fit for Saturday.

Djiksteel - absolute class
Totally agree. I howled when the sky commentator mentioned that as a defender he got so far forward he didn't know what to do with the ball. Then he charged forward time again and again through their MF totally unchecked due to his ability to spot a gap.

And he's non to shabby with his defensive duties either.
