Because you're slagging Southgate off for a decision that makes perfect sense.

Ollie Watkins is in exceptional form, far better form than Toney is currently in, and he's fully deserving of a start when Kane is injured.

Toney is lucky to be in the squad at the minute with the circumstances, he's barely played in a year and he's not scoring at the minute.

We know what he does, same for much of the side, it's not just about experiments. Southgate's looking to win the game and for his side to build confidence, for me anyway.

I understand wanting an entertaining game, but in reality you rarely get end to end matches at the business end of a knock out competition. Look at recent Champions League finals, the last 4 have been really tight affairs finishing 1-0.

If England are going to win in the summer, we need to be able to control games against the best sides. So that’s what I am looking for tonight, a deserved win against high class opponents. Going toe to toe in a slugfest is basically leaving it to chance and the best teams don’t do that.
