The Impending QPR match got me thinking when we played them away mid 90s . Couple of mates and I popped into a boozer near the BBC studios and there were quite a few Boro fans already in and oiled .

Tucked at one end of the bar was Juliette Morris and Matthew Amroliwala having a couple of tipples keeping themselves very much to themselves .

Once word got round the Boro brethren they were in there the Boro fans started singing the Animal Magic theme song ( Johnny Morris I guess ) with the da,da,da, da,da ( you catch the drift ) when you get to the bit where it’s I guess the chorus the Boro fans started swooping round the pub like planes in Daaaaaa, daaaaaa,de,de,de,de,dee
the pair of them bless them We’re standing totally baffled .

it was unplanned and just happened much to our being with beer . Great days and I often wondered when he was reading the news and Teesside got mentioned that in the back of his mind he remembered us .

Always forget the name, but the pub on a corner near Prenton Park was absolutely bouncing before our final game of the 95/95 promotion season against Tranmere.

Red and white builders tape unravelled amongst the entire population of the pub, tables, chairs and people passed over head. beer everywhere.

I was in that one as well . That was Uwe Fuchs last game .

Anyone remember the police horse and cop coming into the pub To control Boro fans in Blackpool mid 80s ?

Away to Norwich around early 90s was in a pub garden on the canal not far from the ground.

Freezing day. A group of fans bet one of them wouldn’t disrobe and swim across the canal and back. They clubbed together and he did. Half way across his return leg he started to flounder (he was playing up for the audience it subsequently turned out). He got quite a crowd watching. In those days the Canal wasn’t so clean.

Always remember that pub. Sadly no longer there. They have built new apartments there.

any one remember the "Mop Heads" around the cattle market area at Notts County, not sure if it was in the 80's or 90's?

Couple of seasons ago at Fulham. Lads in the corner were tying up a Boro banner and the bouncer did not like it. He was told it was just a bit of fun but he called for the police.
Everyone was trying to get them to realise it was just a Boro banner. One of the police women pointed out that the banner was tied to a lamp but the other end was tied to a security camera. As such they could be charged under anti terror laws for interfering with the security of the country.
Never seen smiles disappear or a banner come down so fast.
We were all laughing about it until the police insisted we all leave 😲

I always loved that pub away at Blackburn. It was away only and always absolutely rammed👍. I don't know it's name but it's gone now (probably flats).

We have taken some amazing followings over the years and always loved getting in at 12 and lashing it in👍

I remember a big Victorian red brick pub in Blackburn with a large walled garden that you could pay to park in on a match day, which we did for the rearranged '3-points' match in 96-97. Don't think it's there now so might be the same one?

Pub at Tranmere I believe was the Mersey Clipper and the big one at Blackburn was the Fernhurst. One of my favourites was the Sky Blue tavern at Coventry and also the Larwood and Voce at Forest, the first one was at Coventry's old ground and the latter is home fans only now, but all of them used to be packed with Boro fans when we played there. Good days 👍👍

Always liked the Antigallican when we were at Charlton. Nice big old place that you could get loads into. Always remember my mate telling his son we were meeting him at the Antigalactican.

Its called the Fernhurst or however you spell it. I never seem to remember much about Blackburn away games because of that pub. I dunno why but i always seem to get right smashed there.

The Gatekeeper over the road from the Millennium Stadium the night before the Carling Cup Final takes some beating. And the afternoon before the match as well.
