I kind of get where you're coming from in that it could be worse, but are we really hoping that it was just a kid with an overdose?
It's already been established that he was only 11 years old and that his collapse had absolutely nothing to do with substance abuse.

They didn't say it was a good outcome. What was meant, I think, was a sudden medical emergency has the potential to be far more serious than some kid who has nodded off after one too many Carlings.

clearly a world where there always someone ready to be offended by a flippant remark which was clearly meant as a joke. Thankfully the kid’s fine, move on, nothing to see here.
 
Yes, very thankful that the boy has recovered and will be back to support Boro again and with a great tale to tell about the day the Boro boss phoned him up to ask how he was.
