You lot have inspired me

to go to the Stoke game.
I had a season ticket at AP and kept it when I moved to Gtr Manchester in 1987. Kept it up at the Riverside until giving it up in 2008. I still went to about half the home games but this gradually dwindled down to virtually none in the Strachan and Mowbray eras.

When Karanka came along I used my Boro Pride membership to attend 75% of home games. My last home game was the BHA promotion match in 2016.

When the club discontinued Boro Pride for that premier season I admit I flounced off - wasn’t that bothered about the whole premier league thing anyway. Having retired soon after the end of 2016 season there was no way I was able to commit to a season card and the driving that would entail. Removing Pride and increasing walk up prices kept me away.
But reading the comments on here about how the ground needs to be full tomorrow and how much there is still to play for made realise how much I would be missing, so there you have it, I shall be there . Got to say, I’m excited !!

There’s a few things I wish for now:

Sheff Utd don’t win tonight
We win tomorrow, obviously
The Dundas chippy is still open for my lucky pre-match fish n chips
I can still find lucky parking around Borough Rd…

So much might have changed in six years
