You bald xxxx

I agree and the same goes for comments on weight too
I've been bald since I was
I wouldn't say it's sexual harassment, but I do think it's the sort of comment that should be discouraged in today's society.

Most people don't choose to be bald, so it's not really fair to negatively comment on it.
That could go for a list of ‘Iisms’ - fat, small, ginger, freckles and so on.

I think I was 12 before I realised my name wasn’t ’come here yea little ginger barsteward,’ it use to be the only thing I answered to. 🤣 🤣🤣

19 I was when I started to lose my hair.
Totally devastating. 35 years on I still hate it.
Similar age to you and it did impact on my self esteem at the time. I learned to live with it, but as Linthorpe states, balding can look worse than being bald.

A family friend who cut my hair advised me to have it cut short and this did look better. This gradually moved down to a number two blade, then one and now an open blade.

Nothing worse than someone trying to hide it.

At least you got a decent nickname out of it, the same as our own David Armstrong 😉😉👍👍

Started to lose my hair when I was 19. It was in the 70's when the fashion was long hair. I was so self conscious of it and it knocked my confidence for six.

We are moving into a very dull world. Why not just ban every insult. That's all Tory and Johnson threads dead in the water, add Brexit.

I will scream at an opposition player ' my god young man, that's a terribly hard tackle'

Started going bald at age 30 and it doesn't really bother me now. I give it the bare blade clippers every couple of weeks and marvel at all the money I've saved on barbers and hair products. I know someone who went for a hair transplant and it looks decent but I really couldn't be arsed.

I'm not sure they are taking it seriously. I mean you wouldn't make a jokey headline about a women being 'sexually harassed'.

My Dad lost his hair in his early twenties, then went for the comb over for many years. Any gust of wind and he was diving for his comb. When we persuaded him to cut it off in his fifties, he looked so much better.
Mine started to go in my thirties, I went straight for the clippers and dont think about it, as it is so much easier to look after. I am also a biker, so it is much easier when you have to wear a helmet.
Biggest shock was going grey. I grew a beard and it was white, that was a major surprise but get a part time job at Christmas time.

While I wouldn't in any way say it is sexual harassment, what I have grown to understand as Ive matured, is that 'a joke' is subjective to the person on the receiving end.

I am 39 and shave off (what little I have left of) my hair twice a week. If people make a joke about being bald I genuinely dont care in the slightest! I used to weigh 18st but now weigh under 12st and people commenting on my weight used to really get to me. When you make a comment about someone, you cant
control their reaction nor does anyone have the right to judge their feelings.

Would it be so dull if we ban every insult?
