Yorkshire Cricket.

The worrying thing here is that Graves wants to turn the club in to a limited company (wonder who the main shareholder would be?). This would leave it open to a takeover by an Indian IPL franchise - I think Hampshire are in the middle of similar negotiations?

Trouble is Yorkshire owe Graves a lot of money. So its difficult to get rid of him if no one else comes in with the funding.

I heard recently that there was racial troubles at a southern county, but nothing since.
Perhaps we will not hear anything . After all these people at Essex or Middlesex wouldn’t be up to devious practices would they ? 😏

Hampshire is already a private limited company not owned by a members’ organisation. As are two others, one of which is Durham I think.

The Hundred happened on Colin's watch - a bad episode.
But his time at YCCC was a huge success. If he still has passion for Yorkshire, then it is great that he is coming back.

If it is a ruse to sell to an IPL owner that sees the eventual marginalisation of YCCC behins a Franchise operator, then not so good.

Does anybody really take seriously anything Rafiq says?

On the racism issue, definitely. Just about everything he experienced was believed by most external bodies. Only Yorkshire denied it. He's done cricket a great service by opening up this can of worms and getting cricket to face some harsh home truths. I'm not sure why you don't believe him. He experienced some terrible times during his time at Yorks. Just because you support Yorks doesn't mean you should turn a blind eye to such behaviour, as Graves appeared to do.

Let's agree to disagree, without raking up all sorts of things.

I don’t believe him because one of my close friends was there and tells me a different story about him and why he did what he did.

Yorkshire messed up, but not in the way that has been told in the media.

Yorkshire did need a cleanse, and I know myself of common racist behaviours in Yorkshire league cricket, throughout the 80’s and (albeit from word of mouth) the 90’s.
if Graves fully condemns racism, and leads the club in a wholly inclusive manner, then he and the club will have my support
