Yaxley-Lennon

For the sake of political balance I like to consider both sides of the story. Ladies & Gentleman I give you:
So your point is that Choudary is as big a chunt as Yaxley-Lennon, I don't think many would disagree. There are bad people of all colours and faiths.

But spreading rhetoric to smear muslims as a group isn't helpful or a good look. Look at the individual and their actions, don't smear them all.

I never did get to see Yaxley-Lennon standing outside the Vatican harassing priests about covering up child abuse, I never saw him hounding the Queen as head of church of England, or Bishop of Canterbury for protecting pedo vicars and supporting Jimmy Saville. That's the issue, lack of balance from him, only focussing on muslim 'rape gangs' when the majority of rape and pedophilia in the UK is performed by white people and non-muslims and the majority of muslims are appalled by all rapists and pedos.

Trying to make it a religio-cultural issue is not honest, or helpful, it's dressed up racism.

Don't feed the troll

I blocked the racist.
I always find the concept of balance to be totally flawed. So if we talk about Pol Pot do we have to find someone to balance out the picture of a mass murderer? A mass murderer is always a mass murderer. Where do you find middle ground when talking abuot Adolf Hitler?
With Yaxley-Lennon why must we listen to a racist? What balance can that possibly give?
Extend that and why must BBC/ITN dig up a lunatic denier to give balance when discussing Climate Change? Surely the balance would be a scientist that sees us already doomed VERSUS a scientist that feels we can still save the planet. Anyone with views outside of that is misleading the public.
You can look as long and hard as you want for the middle ground but doesn't it depend where you set the extremes?

Thanks Rob- I was really disturbed by his comments. Racism is vile but there was something in his posts that sent my spine crawling.

It’s that “I’m trying to be balanced” creepiness of it all. When people are racist and try and justify it and pretend to be being fair it’s kind of creepy. Bad though it would be I’d rather an honest racist. Someone who came out and said “I don’t like Muslims because...”
