It’s not just the start of this season though is it. It has been since January this year
IMO the reason for that is the club tried to offload the high earners running their contracts down there were no takers and it soured the atmosphere in the camp.
You've got people phoning in a performance knowing they'll be off at the end of the season, we weren't good enough to carry them and instead of digging them out & challenging them to improve the other players let their heads drop.

This season there's been a lot of change, we've not addressed the lack of goals, we've not got organised at the back yet, we're set up to play on the counter & that isn't attractive to watch and if it isn't successful people wonder why they've bothered.

Don't get me wrong, there is a lot wrong with the side but it isn't panic stations yet.

I’ve always been of the opinion that it might take 3-4 months to get a new team to play well together. There’s no denying that the past few games have shown that NW is a fair distance from bringing harmony to this squad of newbies— let’s see how the next 3-4 pan out — team needs to show more speed and craft.

The only way I'd want him gone is if Gibson has actually got some lined up and we're not left in a situation like Agnew after Aitor.

I don't think Warnock will be here next season, so I hope Gibson is already making plans to get things in place for next season.

It's only September and already it feels like a 'Meh' season of midtable mediocrity.

Other scenario...he loses and hes ztill here. Maybe gibbo will give him international break to sort them out. Then if no improvement then i reckon hes gone.

IF we are implementing a long term plan and going in a new direction and Warnock isn't part of that, then it would be best to get on with it as soon as possible, regardless of how he is doing.

If not, and these are his players etc, then support till the chairman decides otherwise.

But only those behind closed doors have access to that information.

As it was always going to be his last season this situation was always likely. Good start or the season's over and what's the point in him staying?

I'm just putting it down as a waste of a season. What makes me angry though is that this is also supposed to be Fry and Tav's last season.

”Mid-table”? bluddy hell you’re a glass half full arn yer!😀

With the rumour before the Reading game, that Neil Warnock has two games to save his career at Boro, would you rather Boro lose tomorrow night and Warnock gets sacked or Boro beat Sheff Utd and Warnock stays?
Where do these rumours start ?
Nowt better to do.
Let him do his job.

quite why anyone would want him to stay beggars belief, each to their own i suppose, the team we have is not a bad team, warnock is not getting the best out of them.he needs to go and hopefully soon,he will, ive had enough of his antics, blaming everyone under the sun apart from himself!!!!!

I think it's unlikely he'll be here beyond the end of the season and the club consequently will be looking for a manager to take over in the summer anyway.

I like NW as a personality, but the performances and results this season are testing that to be honest. I hope he bows out with a strong showing from us this season, but its not looking likely is it?

A loss and Warnock sacked will be far better for the long term future of the club than to scrape a win and let him stay even longer

That’s what I believe too.

I have also wanted Boro to lose in the past too. Man United last game of the season to stop the Geordies winning the league. “They’ve gotta go to Middlesbrough and get something” 😂
