Howay. He played top division football in a top team having to take over from Souness. What about Mitch Cook, Bobby Thomson, Don ORiordon?

I forgot the opposition, but he started a match and for the first time ever, I was thinking ‘this bloke needs taking off now, for his own sake’ and we were only 20 minutes in! He was so off the pace of the game it was painful. Think he made it to half time before he got the hook. Don’t know if he ever played again.

Without further ado onto our coveted striker positions. This will be very competitive!

My vote is for Lee Miller. Looked like a competition winner and hopelessly out of his depth every minute he played. Another Scottish hero from our 2010s era.
 
I know he was part of a promotion team, and scored some important goals as part of that, but I always thought Trevor Senior looked hopeless.

Wasn't strong. Wasn't quick. Lousy first touch. No obvious technical ability.

On the other hand, very good at being stood in the right place and having the ball go in off him with no intent on his part.

That said, he was still better than Ray Hankin.
 
Wow! I thought it was hard picking just one midfielder, There have been loads of poor strikers over the years,
Euell, Rickets, Miller, Boyd, Dong-Gook, Marcus Bent, Mido, Gestede, Killen, Davenport, Boersma... to name a few.

My vote Lee Dong-Gook ...just
 
Gestede...Good god. Why did we turn down £6million from Leeds then sell them Bamford?!


I'll give Dong Gook Lee a pass because he was free and Alves although he was £12million he looked unreal for that first 6 months. His confidence just went

Biggger mistake than not fielding a team against Blackburn that time.. god knows what was going on at the time for that to happen. Was that a Garry Monk move? Wouldn’t have minded him and his agent taking a clip of the deal to be fair!
