'World-beating' test-and-trace system

I am guessing the system is designed by oracle? They designed the legal aid programme which is woeful. It took about two years to get a reasonable service from it. It still crashes and recently was off line for two weeks. It’s so user unfriendly it is untrue. The legal aid agency know it takes longer than paper applications but have admitted the budget has been blown and there is nothing else they can do.

Pretty much all out sourced public sector IT systems are an absolute disaster. A lot of the bureaucracy in this country is absolutely rotten. It's wrong to just look at the party politics at the top. That's just the crap flavoured icing on a cake made of ****.

Ask yourself why that would be the case Sheriff? Maybe if you hand contracts to companies based on their party contributions you aint doing your job.

I don't see most of the people involved in handing out contracts being influenced by this. Public sector IT has been absolute b***ks regardless of which party is in power.

Yeah, see I do see exactly that happening. Though to be fair Serco have been a supplier to the government for about 20 years. I am not sure who added them to the preffered supplier list.
