Woman who threw drink over Nigel Farage

I didn’t say you. Hence mad head.

It still stands.

Unless I’ve misinterpreted your gibberish post, then it looks like you were referring to me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You were replying to me. You then said ‘talking about people going to prison for milkshake crimes’ in response to my post. I wasn’t talking about people going to prison for milkshake crimes.

Like I say I probably misinterpreted your gibberish post. My apologies.

Seem to remember Farage was only a candidate when the incident took place. It may have made a difference, maybe, if had been a sitting member of the house.
Is he a still avoiding any explanation as to suitability to serve of one of the “Famous 5 MP’s”
James McMurdock who beat up and repeatedly kicked his girlfriend around, and served 21 days after being convicted
Who Farage now claims “Deserved Christian forgiveness”
Timelapse doesn’t matter for violence against women, or does it?
Farage will try and milk this for all it’s worth. ( pun intended ) 😉

Yeah.. you’ve lost the plot.

Yes - good point it certainly can be interpreted as such.
Lets have a look at where are in reality
* both the major parties have a record of planting their prospects in constituencies where the local party get over ruled
* A party can get circa 30% of the vote yet end up with a huge majority (theoretically, btw, they could get 49% of the vote and not win a seat)
* Reform’s votes counted for next to nothing yielding hardly any seats despite the number of votes

Our Democratic process is flawed.
Not to say I want more dipping out because of fear.
"Our democratic process is flawed" has been a refrain since the original was tried in Athens 😂
It's a human system, so it will always be flawed. The system we have now has only been in place since 1969, so it's not doing badly for being a bit older than me. When I really looked into it, I am a monarchical distributist at heart and I'm not that fussed on the system we've got, but it's taken a long time to get even what we've got (the Reform Act in 1832 only came about because of Catholic Emancipation) and as long as people are prepared to take part, it's not too bad.

it's not too bad.
Yep - a good assessment

Was reading this year about what the ancient Greeks did.
They worked out people were only getting elected because they were paying people to vote for them.
They stopped elections and built an algorithm to help them decide what kind of people they needed to get a fair representation of society to help make key decisions.

Then they invited them to form a parliament.
The sense of public duty was such that they would accept. The only proviso - any ministerial appointments to defence had to have expertise.
