I’ll have a look at that. I’ve set up an Instagram account where I share my routes and photos ‘the_wynyard_wanderer’ if anyones bothered .If you're in the Bolton Abbey area and have time, get yourself up Troller's Gill, a true hidden gem. Park on the roadside near Parcivall Hall (the gardens may be open) and follow the beck up. It's best to go up the eastern valley, which is trollers gill, like a mini goredale scar ... if you have decent waterproof boots there's an old mine adit that you can enter just before you exit the gorge on the right ... it only goes about 15m, so safe. Eventually you will come to a small footbridge ... follow that path over to the western valley. There's an old lead and fluorspar mine to peek into (too dangerous to enter) ... you'll notice that the path descends on top of old mine spoil which is all calcite, bits of fluorspar and barytes .... so the ground sparkles beneath your feet if the sun is out. Then follow the beck back to Parcivall Hall. You can do the loop in less than an hour but it's a beauty.
There is a Tithe Barn at the back of the Craven Arms and they get some great music gigs on there. Saw Ian McNabb ( Icicle Works) there last year.Just watched the Selina Scott episode last night. Absolutely fabulous scenery
Great boozer to finish off in also
Will definitely watch the other episodes.
Thanks for 'head's up,.
She used to live in Saltburn in the 70's with her two sister's, Victoria and I think Helen, and her brother Robin. Really nice family. I really fancied one of the sister's!Her parents live (or lived) in Appleton-le-Moors only a stone's throw from Gibson's new gaff. She now breeds alpacas for their wool, near Malton.
I just can't get my head around the fact that she's 70.
Honestly, where does the time go?
Just thinking something similar. Currently watching American WeirWolf in London and the two young leads Naughton and Agutter are now 70.I just can't get my head around the fact that she's 70.
Honestly, where does the time go?
There's an idea for a new TV programme - "Our Yorkshire Werewolf""American Weirwolf"? Is that the one where the American goes to Yorkshire and gets dammed for eternity?
And speaking of Yorkshire, I'm looking forward to Simon Armitage's walk to Robin Hood's Bay.
mainly footy forums
Thats the one! Except the walk on the moor and the village with the Slaughtered Lamb isnt Yorkshire at all but Powys Black Mountains in South Wales."American Weirwolf"? Is that the one where the American goes to Yorkshire and gets dammed for eternity?
