Windrush - Braverman drops reform commitments

These people helped rebuild the country after WWII , some were treated terribly, commitments were made - but now that it's not front page news commitments are dropped

Disgraceful - and I can't understand why they would choose to do this

When 83 year old Joan Salter, a Polish Jew, recently confronted the Home Secretary, claiming her language - calling refugees "swarms" and an "invasion" - was the same as those used by the Nazis against the jews - Braverman refused to apologise. Its no surprise she has now turned off the lights on the "Windrush" scandal. Braverman`s language whips up anti-semitism, racism against black and other people of colour. Her political opportunism and jingoism appeals to the thousands of UKIP and other Brexiteers who have joined the Conservative Party. It also appeals to the gutter and denies the likes of Joan Salter the right to dignity, freedom and respect.

Braverman joins a long line of overt racists and Nationalists, who have always used the race card to marginalise individual groups of people, whilst taking away basic rights and freedoms - to protest and strike - and hiding behind the flag. Actions speak louder than words. Whether she knows it or not - her words and opinions fit closely with those of Colin Jordan, John Tyndale, Martin Webster, Nick Griffin, Anthony Reed-Herbert [etc,etc,etc].

Johnson and his co-hab Farage were not the only two keys which unlocked the Brexit door, but Johnson`s well documented [and published] racism and homophobia - along with his lying to Parliament and the public during covid - has given the green light for the likes of Braverman. Meanwhile, minors fleeing for a better life are being kidnapped on the streets of Brighton and refugees from war and conflict are being dumped in concentration centres and left to rot. The Prime Minister and the political class which allow her to keep her seat in the Cabinet and in Parliament are equally complicit.
