William using his own dead mother now for PR

Got to say that as soon as I saw the pictures of the cards I thought it was PR gone a bit too far.
I should have started this thread a week ago when I predicted that this is what would happen, a major PR offensive, using Diana, and people of colour to 'prove' they aren't racist and win back popularity.

Very distasteful... I for one wont be commenting on any further posts about the royal family as its all boring...:sneaky:

Theyre getting worse than Dallas or Dynasty... I wanted reform before but now im moving more to a republic... I mean she will still be the queen, she just wont have her head on a stamp,,,

Threads like this are why I hate that this forum doesn't have a separate politics section.

It's just bile for the sake of it.
No one is forcing you to read it or contribute.

It's not bile for bile sake, if you want to carry on the status quo but blame labour and corbyn and the EU, then more fool you. If you can't see what's right under your nose, then you can't be helped.

I want a better country, a fairer country. It's not bile to want the removal of hereditary powers and an establishment that abuses them. I personal find cap doffing to royalty to be an embarrassment, a sad reflection on anyone that thinks that they are special and you know free speech and all that. Scroll on if it doesn't interest you, you can unfollow the thread if it offends.

I find using your dead mum to try and win a public ratings war against your brother to be putrid beyond words, and I find anyone that defends that position to be morally vacuous. But hey, that's just my opinion.

It is 100% bile.

This is clearly a blind spot for you as pretty much everything else I've seen you post on this forum has been interesting and balanced, but you've clearly got unhealthy issues with the monarchy if you're going to try and target someone for celebrating his mother on Mother's Day, and presumably including his children in it.
I know plenty of people who've lost their parents that post long tributes on social media every single year, it's not something unique.

Your thread on it is literally the only place I've seen it too, so if it was a PR campaign they're clearly not putting much effort in.

Ok, you think it's pile, that just highlights your lack of objectivity.

A monarchy IS an unhealthy institution, I posted on another thread the challenge to explain to me why a person should get a lifetime of privilage, and influence to politics and laws, and tens of millions of pounds purely based on whose vagina they fell out of......the challenge still stands, feel free to give me a credible answer why.

We all agree the status quo in this country is wrong, regardless which end of the political spectrum you sit. I will give you the challenge to go do some research on the royals rather than have it fed to you by a media that is in bed with them. Come talk again when you understand the corruption, the level of elitist symbiotic support, the lies and abuse, the avoidance of public viewing of their affairs, and the avoidance of any form of governance or accountability. I've done my research, I know where I stand. I once wasn't hateful towards them, I was an ignorant and patrioitic 18 year old that knew no better. Knowledge is the key.

But posting your 3-7 year olds cards to their dead grandmother on social media is something I have NEVER seen. Let's not pretend that that is normal and lets not ignore that they didn't post the cards the kids gave to Kate.....bizarre really considering it was mothers day and she is, you know, their mother. That would seem to be the most important thing to show if you are gonna show your little kids home made cards.

It's all over social media and national papers today.

You want hereditary power gone? Are you going to dismantle our whole political system that sees people in positions of power because of the wealth they were born into? Are you going to remove all hereditary peers in the House of Lords?

None of your business.
It's not my business, but that's kinda the point, if your gonna get your 3-7 year olds to write cards to their dead grandparents that they never met,, then you wouldn't put it out for public consumption. Particularly while not showing their cards to their mum

It's not, but the answers probably no which means that it's a false equivalence

You really need to take a day off from the rage towards the royals, you'll get a stomach ulcer otherwise.

For the record a friend of mine writes a Mother's Day card to her mother and leaves it on her gravestone every year.
Guess she's also doing it for Instagram likes though yeah?

Does she do one for her grandmother though, that would be the equivalent, try and keep up fella

It's a very sick stunt imho. If the kids had done it of their own volition - which I doubt - surely just keep it in the family anyway. They haven't a clue as to how to portray themselves as decent human beings.....

Who are you calling fella?

Her kids sign the card yes. They help to make one every year. Have done for the past 5.
