Will he go/get sacked if we lose to the makems?

Unfair to blame individual shortcomings on Wilder. Defense was completely static for the winner at the end, and certain individuals were too weak for the first goal. Desperately need a midfield enforcer.

Let the team settle down. Arguably the hardest away game of the season and we were unlucky not to get a result. We’ve played Sheffield Utd, Watford, Reading, QPR who are all in the top 6 & West Brom who will be up there, all in the middle of a huge squad upheaval. Window closes Thursday, then roll on Monday, the results will come!

The selection of sideways mcgree at number 10 will be looked back on in the same breath as some of the strachan selections.

Wilder is a busted flush. Signings been garbage and he can’t organise a team to defend away from home. Howson, Jones, McNair and dijksteel all liabilities in away games.

We are on the way to being a fantastic team. The club are still getting the pieces together in a situation that’s out of their control. The football is amazing at times. Rome wasn’t built in a day. If it was that easy then everyone would do it. We were unlucky again tonight. It’s happening. Wilder’s the man.

Something is not right

Dreading facing the Mackems now that Mogga has just taken the job :ROFLMAO: I can only imagine the meltdown if they beat us now, would be typical ... really thought we were going to get something out of tonight's game and was delighted Muniz got off to a great start.

Did I hear it right, we have shipped the most goals out of all sides in the league so far?

Ever since Fry has been kept out the side, we've appeared more fragile and I am still not convinced about Lenihan.

I expected the reason Fry has been kept out the team is that we are looking to cash in on him to help fund other targets, but it doesn't appear he is going anywhere. A player of Fry's profile being unhappy kept out the side does not bode well, IMO.

Apparently, there has been a 'falling out' between him and Wilder, and it is not surprising from Fry's point of view if true, though do not know the full details. Naturally, he is going to be disappointed ...

The extra few players we need, the quality, it does not appear we're getting anyone near the quality of Gyokeres/Larsen (the latter I am now sick of hearing about)

I really thought we would have got more points at this stage, and it is going to be interesting to see where we stand after the Sunderland match.

I know Watford away is a big ask but feel sick after tonight's game. When are we going to stop leaking so much, I thought we had a decent defense but right now it appears in tatters, and the likes of Jones, I don't know what the hell is going on with him. He;'s been bang average, hopefully not just a flash in the pan

Credit to the likes of Giles who I think has been excellent and was delighted when we signed him, but otherwise, just being 'nearly' there is not good enough if we are conceding more than anyone else and finishing games with nothing to show at the end for a team that was supposed to be going for promotion

That seems like a joke to say right now

As I say, something feels off. I hope I am wrong and our luck changes but I don't know what else to say and struggle to see much changing in the near future given the transfer window is almost shut and we will need time for more new additions to bed in

Going to be a long season.

Thanks Chris

I hope not. What's the point of giving a manager 10-12 new signings and sacking him. Straight back to the drawing board with a new one.

Also I'm intregued as to who anyone thinks is better and available than Wilder? I'm ready for some ridiculous examples 😂

People used to post like this about Karanka. Then he took us to Wembley and then automatic promotion. This place is a cesspit after a defeat, let’s be honest. The levels of overreaction and entitlement are insane at times.

Not one mention of Tavernier.

We are missing him massively. If he had played each game we would have picked up quite a few more points. Mowatt is a different type of player, but not a like for like replacement.

That said, as frustrating as it has been so far, we are close to doing well, and at times have been playing some of the best football we have played in this division. Including under Aitor.

If you analyse the game properly. 2 teams went toe to toe in an even game. Watford got lucky at the end with the block from Clarke.

I think we’ll beat Sunderland. We have 6 days we have time on the training ground and we are unbeaten at home this season in the league

Performances have been good, bar the Reading game - get Fry back in there and build the defence around him, that will help stop the sloppy goals we’re giving away

I wonder what the fans of 86 would think of some of the ‘fans’ on here if they could read this board .
Well I'm 48 so am an '86 alumni. And I can see what's in front of me. We haven't actually looked like winning many games this season. We've looked like holding our own but apart from Swansea have never dominated for any length of time.

We look unbalanced and lacking fight. That's pretty basic stuff for a coach to sort out. Wilder seems obsessed with attack and just expects the defence to take care of itself.

Dont worry, there all back at school by then(y)
You're mean roofie. Made me smile after 8 hours driving 2 boats so the smile was welcome particularly after numerous fights with the wife who was on the satnav saying stuff like follow those cars, or my favourite when I asked when we were coming off the a80. Answer "in a bit"
