I see this has now happened in the premiership and has once again highlighted the use of taking a knee. A good article on the BBC website but it mentions all the other clubs now not taking the knee apart from the boro.

Within football it needs the FA and the Premier League to move themselves and look at ways and means to take meaningful BAME representation into their grey suits. Also for them to look closely at removing impediments to black players transitioning from footballers into coaching, managing and refereeing.
They should be looking at change at the top in the sport as well as grass roots.
That would be a start and set a standard for society to try and follow.

There seems to be a bit of a backlash against the term BAME from certain sections in the black community. Ngozi Fulani was on earlier and she thinks it’s discriminatory against black people as in her words black people (she speaks on behalf of black women that have suffered domestic violence) have been dumped under the term BAME and it takes away their culture, identity and simply lumps them in with everybody that’s not middle class white. Maybe it’s a term that might not be so widely used in the future. I think she called it racist on newsnight earlier.

it wont 100% be eradicated ( racism) until my generation (60 - 80) and the generation before mine (80+) are removed from this mortal coil. Then my sons/daughters generationwho ARE a lot more PC than ours will inherit and rule.... My mothers generation have racism ( colour/religion) ingrained..... Sad to say. As most statements there are exceptions - people who marry inter racially ( like me) certainly are not racist so it is a broad brush statement and I do accept not all my mothers or my generation are racist BUT I believe a high percentage hold racist views.
