Wilder on Transfers

Tav replacement, a very decent striker, a young loan striker. Probably all we need for the first team

But, as for any Champ team, a very decent striker is hard to find

Yes forss and hoppe have no previous record of scoring 20 goals like an armstrong or a gayle. Wilder said he wants 40 goals from his strikers. Think most forss has scored is 10 and hoppe zero in the championship.

A left sided centre back means diksteel is out the team for fry. Not sure about that like ?
Or are you talking about a back up centre half ? Because bola looks like being the back up to Giles at LWB and LCB to my mind. ??

No. I agree but shows you our pecking order right now probably in terms of wages we can offer because it’s mostly down to that for a player to move to a club

No a left sided centre back to start games. Dijksteel will stay in the team. Bola can be cover for LCB and left wing back
 
Dijksteel is essential in our back line as he's the only defender with pace to get us out of trouble. He's also fairly classy on the ball bringing it out of defense. Overall I'd have him nailed on for the RCB position over McNair for me. In fact fitting McNair in the team at the moment looks a struggle which is a shame as he's got undoubted ability. (I'm assuming from Wilder's comments at the back end of last season that he doesn't want to routinely utilise him at LCB this season).

Agree with all that, but Maddo hinted that we may see Dijksteel in midfield this season, which would mean we wouldn't need a DM to back up Howson.

Thought Dijksteel and Howson were our best players yesterday.

In that they are not our first choice targets. That said any player who pulls on a Boro shirt should get massive support and not have a downer just because we didn’t get our no 1 targets.
 
Not so much they’re not first choice, more the first group are more proven in the championship. Your second sentence should be a given 👍

I hadn't heard that, but I'd definitely agree he's got the attributes to play that role too.
