Wilder meets the Fans

Sounds promising on the signing front!
I also think we gave Sporar an easy ride, he was one we just liked so maybe his performances didn't match how we viewed him
Connolly was a complete and utter disaster with his Girlfriend in tow and the Pally Fanny, going off to Italy is the best thing for him
Balogun I think has huge potential, I wouldn't have minded him back tbh, wilder clearly didn't fancy him

About covered it well there Morton

Didn't give too much away on the Adam Armstrong front when asked if he's a player we'd be interested in, basically saying he's obviously a player that he'd have, but is he actually available?

I still don't see that one happening from what's been said on the Southampton side, but I'd love to be wrong.

Sporar was abysmal and Wilder is correct, he got an easy ride here. The love in was sickly and cultish.
Sporar started well under Warnock and was far more suited to that style. He endeared himself to fans, but the love in continued after Wilder came in and he struggled in his system.

Sporar took his first goal so well when he smashed it home on the run towards edge of box it unfairly slanted our opinion of him....that was his first moment...his best moment...and his last moment all In one...without that he would have got pelters

Sounds like some decent info, but think it’s a bit **** that it wasn’t opened up for all to have a chance to go. The last few have been really well attended.

Any payero talk ???

Yep.

Basically what I thought.

Struggled with injuries, and players ahead of him were performing well, circumstances prevented the move from working, he struggled with the intensity of the Championship and he wanted to go home.

The club were willing to get his wages off the books to try and reinvest it elsewhere, but he's still contracted here and could feature again, but it would be down to Payero himself wanting to play here and putting in the right effort.

On the loanees, CW thought the fans gave Sporar an easy ride here, that we had a 21 year old & lad who was here & wanted to be somewhere else

The following question, would he consider bringing any of the 3 back, without a thought, no was his answer
That’s interesting considering he was the one who bought both January loanees. I think he has to take some responsibility for those signings.
