Wilder & Jones win Championship MOM & POM

Someone on here was slagging Don Goodman off recently re Boro so perhaps it's a surprise we won. Great minds etc Zoophonic.

Great news, well done to both, I just get the feeling with the changes in Management structure, with Wilder things are so different now.
At long last we have a real purpose and direction.
Very excited not only for this season but for the future of MFC

I’m surprised Mogga didn’t win it too and it seems that additional draw at Stoke tipped it in Chris favour.

Comgratulations to Isiah Jones too.
I really wanted it to go to Mogga to be honest since I think he deserved it more! He just missed out on it last month so very surprised he didn't win it this month after they won every game and we didn't.

Somebody was saying last week that Don Goodman hated us. Perhaps he’s right. 😃
One of my favourite non Boro memories was from my time at university in early 90s, involved Goodman. I had a Sunderland fan who had a car (unlike me) and to get him to take me to Boro games, I had to agree to go to Sunderland games as well.

We went to watch Wolves v Sunderland in one of Goodman's first games for them after his big signing from WBA and you can imagine the dogs abuse he was getting. Sunderland had 2 men sent off in the first 10 mins, both for arguing with a linesman Goodman then missed a sitter before Wolves finally scored with only a couple of minutes left, just as the Sunderland fans were starting to celebrate what would have been a great point.

Schadenfreude was defined in its purest form that day, only spoiled by finding out in the car that Swindon had got a draw against us to stop us going top.

On a much sadder note, have only just found out that Goodman's girlfriend died in the Bradford fire and he was playing in that game.

We do seem to do well with the Manager of the Month in December, Woody also won it two years ago. Let's hope we do better for the rest of the season than he did!

I don't think he did deserve it. We played one more game and harder fixtures, they only had one away game, we had two. It was a clear win for Wilder for me.

Means nothing long term, but great to win it just to see the Derby fans crying
When they reach their 13th birthday they might realise that things are to share
