Wilder has finished as high in the prem as Eddie Howe

What is his business background?

It is believed that Demin owns at least two companies in the UK, Wintel – a petrochemical company - and Wintel Holdings Ltd both based in Surrey.

Both companies were set up in 2005 and his petrochemicals company is described as dealing with the sales of fuels, ores, metals and industrial chemicals. The company’s current assets are valued at over £100 million.

Beyond that, his business background remains a mystery…

Bournemouth's wage bill was £30.4m
Sheff Utd's was £40.7m
Still nowhere near the highest wage bill in the Championship that season despite sizeable promotion bonuses paid that are included in that figure . In any case comparing a clubs wages to that of a promoted club’s 3 years before is a little odd.

I know you weren’t - you were arguing about the claim in the OP. What does it matter really?. They both got promotion and made money albeit Bournemouth achieved it by breaking rules.
My point is one is seen the shiny bright new thing the other isn’t despite very similar records.

Sure, zorro., if we ignore that Howe did five seasons with Bournemouth in the PL and Wilder couldn't overcome second season syndrome.

b***ks they did.
Sheff Utd's wage bill the season they were promoted was higher than Bournemouth's the season they were.
Bmuff promoted 2014-15 season. Wage bill £30.4m.
Boro promoted 2015-16 season. Wage bill £32.4m.
Sheff Utd promoted 2018-19 season. Wage bill £40.7m.

Surprised me a bit that, but Ive just looked up the wage bills directly in their published accounts.
Sheff U' s wage bill more than doubled in that second season in the championship. They certainly didn't go up on a shoestring.

It's mostly down to the player and staff promotion bonuses that get included in the accounts. The outgoings just end up ballooning, but then it's more than covered from the huge revenues made in the PL. Both Sheff Utd and Bournemouth turned a profit in their first PL season. Pretty sure we did as well.

Wilder beat Pep to the LMA manager of the year award in 2019. Yet some feel he's 'not good enough' for Boro.

I'm sure the same people would be excited over John Terry or a random guy from Germany who's put the cones out for Tuchal or Klopp 😂

He's a top manager. I can only believe people moaning never saw Sheff UTD for that 3 year period? Teams couldn't 'work them out'. I know covid effected every club but that a major reason they were so poor that 2nd season (empty ground). Also just look at Leeds. Very much 'second season syndrome'

A cracking manager. Although I've never said I want Warnock out and it's clearly been done very under handedly 😕
