Interesting question. From what I've read, the EFL want to do away with parachute payments, but the PL refuse to do so.
 
One of Sheffields defences is that the fair play rules is anti-competetive suggesting some would like less regulation rather than more
 
It’s complicated but they are businesses.
park plaice chippy can’t have Gordon Ramsey doing the food because they don’t have enough money to pay his wages. That should be the same for football clubs.

But if Jeff Bezos bought it and wanted to turn it into the best restaurant in the world by hiring Gordon Ramsey and Tom Kerridge to batter some cod then why shouldn't he be allowed? Just because Heston doesn't want the competition.

If rich owners want to put money in then they should be allowed but there has to be a requirement that they do put the money in, just having the money isn't enough assurance, as has proven to be the case with Wigan.

no issue with them trying but when it bites you on the ar5e don’t try to get out of it.
