Why won’t Gareth pick Grealish

Ivan Toney in the England 23 for tonight - but Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of those omitted. He will only have featured in 5 of England’s 31 games leading up to the World Cup.

Also left out; Grealish (suspended), Tomori, Ward-Prowse and Bowen
 
Is that the same team from Italy with stones swapped for Walker and Shaw for Saka?

Wouldn’t it be better to try some other players? I guess the problem is with England being so crap recently he’s playing a team he thinks can win over trying others.

Surprised Bowen and Tomori have not been given a chance, especially Tomori.

It’s staggering really with Tomori. He has been head and shoulders above any other English centre back for the last 18 months, winning a major European championship and playing in the Champions League. Yet he can’t get a game ahead of a player who can’t get a game for a Europa League side 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maguire is a complete liability for club and country these days. Man Utd have sussed this out, when will Gareth?

The challenge leading to their pen was a disgrace and would be called out even at Northern league level.
 
Maguire’s confidence seems shot, he’s not going to get it back on Man Utd’s bench, really need to be looking elsewhere now if he’s not going to play. The Crystal Palace lad seemed flavour of the month last year and Ben White plays regularly for Arsenal. There are other options. Maguire probably deserves a place in the squad for his past service,
 
Unbelievable that Toney or Abraham weren't used at all during these last couple of games.
But at least we now know that Kane can take a decent penalty.

Their player dived because he knew he couldn't beat Maguire one on one.
