Because teachers do not get enough time off.
Agreed. Went to both those in 70’s. During snow though quite a few got caned from Mr Brown for throwing snowballs after being told in assembly it was banned. Long queue outside his door. Got a couple of whacks each. Girls sent to Mrs Graham for similar.I can categorically state that in my time at school neither Whinney Banks, nor Stainsby ever was closed due to snow.
And I don't recall anyone ever being injured, having frostbite or being killed in an avalanche.
You had shoes......Back in my day me dad used to glue grit to the soles of my feet so I could walk to school.
You had time off of chimney sweeping to attend school? You had shoes......
Incel day? That doesn't sound promising.Well might not have shut today but we got a notification today saying its Incel day on Monday. Then strikes Wednesday and Thursday.
My son is at school for a grand total of 2 days next week. But I've still gotta get my daughter there.
Feels like kids are off all the time, next thing you know it's 2 weeks off for Easter

I've heard it called an insect day, and an incest dayInset
There weren't any 'no win, no fee' solicitors around in those days.I can categorically state that in my time at school neither Whinney Banks, nor Stainsby ever was closed due to snow.
And I don't recall anyone ever being injured, having frostbite or being killed in an avalanche.
I'd already finished my chimney sweeping by 6 a.m.You had time off of chimney sweeping to attend school?
Prat wink, wink.People travel all over to get to work, there's nothing different about teachers (they just find it harder than everyone else for some reason )
A lot of school buildings are getting older though, and lack of investment probably makes them susceptible to problems. It does seem some school make every effort though, and others don't, possibly depends on headteacher/local authority.
